You likely have some questions about your experience before joining us. With this in mind, we have provided answers to some of the most common queries we receive from our guests before booking one of our tours and prior to joining us is person.

Miami Food and Culture Tours FAQs

As our tours are conducted on foot, we don't have a place to store luggage, and restaurants have told us they do not want to be responsible for people's belongings.

We cater for vegetarians (or non-pork, non-beef, non-chicken, non-fish). We do not serve shellfish.

We are not able to cater to vegan diets.

*Disclosure: Since Miami Culinary Tours does not control the food preparation at the restaurants, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination will not occur.

Public tours:

You can cancel and get a full refund up to 24 hours prior to the tour. We do not accept cancellations by phone, they must be in writing for our mutual records. However, no refunds are granted for cancellations within 24 hours from tour start time as your space is guaranteed at the tour.

Private tours:

  • To reserve a tour date and time, a $100 deposit is required. Deposit will be deducted from your final bill.
  • Remaining payment is due three business days prior to the tour date.

Any cancellation must be made in writing by email and be acknowledged by Miami Culinary Tours.

  • If you cancel up to 15 days or more prior to your reserved tour date, you will not be charged the remaining balance.
  • If you cancel within 14 days of your reserved tour date, the remaining amount will be due.
  • No refunds are granted for no shows.

Yes, we conduct private tours for small and large groups. We offer private tours for corporate groups, bachelorette parties, and family and friend groups!

Yes! Children 3-13 have a $20 discount on all of our tours. You are welcome to bring a baby stroller.

All of our tours are between 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on the type of tour and the size of the group.

We walk about half a mile at all of our tours. We make plenty of resting stops in between. We walk at a moderate pace.

Yes, our tours are wheelchair and baby stroller accessible.

We tour rain or shine. Please have your group bring umbrellas or ponchos if it is announced to rain. Tour guides carry a few emergency ponchos.

In the rare event that we must cancel the tour due to a tropical storm or severe weather conditions, you will be notified in advanced and receive a full refund.

Miami Private Tours FAQs

Tax charge is not added to the price. Gratuity amount for your tour guide(s) is at your discretion by selecting between 15%-20%.

All of our contracts are executed digitally through Fareharbor, the industry's leading software provider. We send the deposit request through Fareharbor and it will automatically forward all itemized receipts.

  • To reserve a tour date and time, a non-refundable $100 deposit is required to guarantee your reservation. Deposit will be deducted from your final bill. 
  • Full payment is due three business days prior to the tour date and charged on the card on file.

Any cancellation must be made in writing (sent by email to [email protected]) and acknowledged by Miami Culinary Tours.

  • The $100 deposit is non-refundable.
  • If you cancel up to 15 days before your tour date and time, you will not be charged the remaining balance.
  • If you cancel your tour within 14 days of your tour date and time, your credit card on file will be charged for the full amount.
  • No refunds are granted for no shows

The date and time of a private tour is only confirmed once the $100 deposit is received. 

If you are offering the tour to your client/group and they are not ready to place a deposit just yet, please add our clause below:

*To guarantee the date and time, a deposit is required. The tour(s) will be subject to availability until deposit has been received and acknowledged by Miami Culinary Tours. 

We host a minimum of 10 people ( or equivalent ticket price ).

Our maximum capacity is 25 guests per tour guide. 

Groups of 26 or more will automatically be divided into smaller groups at no additional charge. 

If your group has 25 or fewer guests and you voluntarily request to split them into two smaller groups with two separate guides, a $150 fee will apply.

Little Havana - 125 people

South Beach - 75 people (Up to 100 based on availability)

Wynwood - 75 people (Up to 100 based on availability)

Design District - 50 people

In order to secure the date and time of your tour, we will send you a link from the Fareharbor booking system with a $100 deposit request plus a $7 booking fee charged by Fareharbor. 

The remaining balance will be charged to the card you provided three business days prior to the tour minus the $100 deposit.

All itemized receipts will be emailed to you by the Fareharbor booking system.

One alcohol beverage is included in most tours. Additional alcoholic beverages can be added at an extra cost or purchased while on the tour.

Little Havana 

  • Groups of up to 16 people: 1508 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135. 
  • Groups of 17 people and above: 1400 SW 8th St, Miami, FL 33135.

South Beach

  • Bolivar restaurant at 841 Washington Ave Miami Beach, FL 33139.
    *If there are two groups at the same time, the meeting point could be different. Please check with the office. If the group arrives by bus, the pick up location is at The Wolfsonian at 1001 Washington Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139

Wynwood

  • Wynwood garage at 321 NW 26th St, Miami, FL 33127

Little Havana: Parking behind Maximo Gomez Domino Park on SW 8th Street and 15th Ave. If the parking lot is full, additional metered parking can be found along SW 8th Street and at the nearby residential. In addition, paid parking on nearby neighborhood streets with the city of Miami app “pay to park.”

South Beach: public garage located between Washington Ave and Collins Ave on 7th Street. Another recommended public garage is between Collins and Ocean Drive on 13th street.

Wynwood: Paid parking garage at 321 NW 26th St, Miami, FL 33127. Paid parking on nearby neighborhood streets with the city of Miami app “pay to park.”

  • 3 business days prior to the tour for groups with up to 25 people.
  • 7 business days prior to the tour for groups of 26 people and up to 50 people.
  • 14 business days prior to the tour if the group will be larger than 50 people.

Yes, we can accommodate most restrictions. We cannot accommodate severe food allergies. Please let us know your food restrictions up to 24 hours prior to the tour if possible. Our guide will call you on the day of the tour, you can also communicate to your tour guide directly.

Our Tours Accommodate:

  • Vegetarians

  • No fish ( we don’t serve shellfish )

  • Vegan diets: please note that some of the stops may not have gluten-free alternatives


Our Tours Can not Accommodate:

  • Food allergies: Please let your guide know about any allergies before the tour begins so she/he can notify you which food(s) to avoid. Should you or anyone in your party have severe and/or life-threatening food allergies, it is recommended that you do not eat on our tours. Disclosure: Since Miami Culinary Tours does not control the food preparation at the restaurants, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination won't occur.
  • Guests with celiac disease: Disclosure: Since Miami Culinary Tours does not control the food preparation at the restaurants, we cannot guarantee that cross-contamination won't occur.

We need to receive final food restrictions at the latest one business day prior to your scheduled tour date and time. 

Our tours take place rain or shine. Please, have your group bring umbrellas or ponchos if it is predicted to rain. Tour guides carry a few emergency ponchos. 

Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.

As a private tour, you will have your own tour guide and nobody else will join your group.

In Wynwood:

Non food tours: 9:00am-9:00pm

Food tours can start at 11:30am up to last tour start time 6:30pm
Wynwood Walls are not open until 10:30am

In Little Havana:

Non food tours: 9:00am-7:00pm

Food tours can start at 10:30am up to last tour start time 7:30pm
