The Dutch at W South Beach presents Trufflepalooza! – This 3-course white truffle dinner presented by Dutch Chef/Owner Andrew Carmellini has earned rave reviews in NYC, at Carmellini’s Italian tavern Locanda Verde. For its first year in Miami, Trufflepalooza will feature a $75/person prix-fixe with truffle-laden dishes. Event takes place on Wednesay, November 20.
Scarpetta at Fontainebleau Miami Beach is featuring a six-course truffle tasting dinner for $225/person. Menu highlights include polenta truffled mushroom fricassee and a 21-day aged sirloin of beef with natural jus, roasted mushrooms and truffle emulsion. The dinner is be available from now through January 1 (duration of truffle season).
Quattro Gastronomia Italiana introduces specialty truffle a-la-carte selections, inspired by the region of Alba, Italy. Stand-out items include a Fontina cheese fondue with poached egg yolk and toasted biova croutons ($45), filet mignon tartare ($45), risotto with piemonstese toma cheese ($85) and veal scaloppini with truffle butter sauce and truffle fries ($90). Alba truffle shavings may be added to any dish for $25 per gram. Specials are available now through December (or until selections run out).
Casa d’Angelo is also offering an array of truffle-inspired a-la-carte specials including beef carpaccio ($44), house-made fettucine ($44/$76), risotto al reggiano ($46/$78) and veal chop with wild mushrooms ($98). Each dish is topped with white truffle shavings.
