Unlimited mimosas are less than the competition, making this restaurant a place to consider if you’re a morning drinker. Another thing that Route 9 has going for it is its commitment to actually provide the unlimited mimosas it promises. Some restaurants tend to be stingy when it comes to going around and refilling cups, so it’s a welcoming change to see a restaurant that is actually generous with their pours.

The best bookstore in the neighborhood has a hidden café tucked between the bookshelves. Even though it is quite hidden, the food being offered is first-class and delectable in every sense. Led by Allen Susser, one of Miami’s greatest culinary talents, the Café at Books and Books is making everything in-house and firing on all cylinders. Although you can come in here expecting a full blown-out breakfast, we recommend that you stick to the small bakery-like items and indulge in a book while sipping on coffee and eating your bread or pastry. The ambiance created by the surrounding books and helpful staff make it a perfect location to spend your morning. Maybe you’ll be lucky and decide to have brunch here during an author’s event. Even if you come here just to enjoy brunch, you’ll be satisfied that you did.

Giorgio Rapicavoli is offering creative takes on familiar foods at his small location in Coral Gables. Eating House began as a pop-up but later returned as a full-fledged restaurant due to popular demand. Diners flock to this place on a weekly basis to get a chance to savor dishes that have garnered cult-like followings. Items such as the Cap’n Crunch Pancakes ($13) and BK Hash Browns ($6) hint to Rapicavoli’s playful demeanor, but his internationally inspired items is where the kitchen shines. A Cuban dessert utilizing custarded Cuban Bread is used as an inspiration for the Torrejas ($12), served with a guava and iron beer infused syrup, whipped cream cheese, and topped with crumbles of maria cookies. Getting a table can be quite of a chore, and because Eating House does not take reservations for brunch, we recommend that you come right at opening time. Don’t be surprised to find a line waiting at the door, but we promise that it is worth it.

Chocolate Fashion is not trying to reinvent the wheel, but that is why it is as successful as it is. All the breads and pastries are made in house, making for a fresh and superior quality that is rare to find at other bakeries in the area. This small café is warm and welcoming, and the air is rich with scents of coffee and butter, almost hugging you and begging you to sit down and dine. You have your option of getting typical breakfast dishes consisting of eggs and the like, but you’d be mistaken to not indulge in the butter-laden pastries. You are in a French bakery by the way, and what better method to judge a French bakery than through its croissant. We’re partial to the almond croissant chased by a well-prepared espresso. The croissant is deceivingly light, with a crispy exterior and flakey and airy interior. The almond paste used is just sweet enough to add a change in taste, but not so much to make you feel like you’re eating candy. Service is friendly and quick, doing everything within their grasps to accommodate you and your group. Although it may not be the most fancy or trendiest place, you cannot go wrong with choosing Chocolate Fashion.
