A day at the museum in Miami means breathtaking waterfront views and one parking lot shared between two of the city’s most interesting museums — the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science are conveniently located right next to each other in downtown Miami. PAMM is a modern and contemporary art museum whose exhibits rotate seasonally featuring international art from the 20th and 21st centuries The Frost Museum of Science is home to a 500,000 gallon aquarium, a planetarium, a learning lab, and a variety of exhibits that draw in the attention of both children and adults.
This may seem like an obvious one, but there’s something special (and inexpensive) about spending a day laying in the sun on South Beach. Grab a book, blanket, and an umbrella — maybe even pack a picnic lunch — and make your way to the sand to enjoy a beautiful day by the ocean.
Spending the day on the water is something that must be checked off anyone’s Miami bucket list. Those who love to fish should consider charting a fishing boat for the day. If a nice sunset and a glass of wine is more your style — think about finding your way onto a sunset cruise. Both of these options can be done as a private group, or as a per person ticket onboard one of Miami’s many charter boats. From catamarans to speed boats, there are many boating experiences to be had.
