A Fort Lauderdale favorite since opening in 2015, Pizza Craft Pizzeria remains the spot locals can count on – from family outing to date night – for perfect pizzas, pastas and impeccable handcrafted pours. But those in the know will guide brunch aficionados straight to the featured weekend menu, served every Saturday and Sunday from 11AM to 3PM. Here, Handcrafted Hospitality corporate chef Robbyns Martinez and Pizza Craft Pizzeria chef de cuisine Jasiel Tejedas, pay homage to classic Italian flavors with both sweet and savory brunch selections paired with a lively selection of specialty, handcrafted cocktails.
The brunch menu (range $10 – $17) features a familiar line-up of dishes, each with their own unique twist inspired by classic Italian ingredients. French Toast gets a new look, made with Panettone – the iconic Italian sweet bread – topped with mascarpone and fresh fruit; and decadent Lemon Ricotta Pancakes aim to please with its toppings of blueberry, mascarpone and maple syrup. Toasts include a classic Avocado served on a baguette with poached egg, Italian chilies, heirloom tomato and parmigiano, as well as a version with local Burrata topped with heirloom tomato, olive oil, cracked pepper and a poached egg. Additional menu highlights include Brunch Pizza with farm egg, fresh mozzarella, smoked bacon, fingerling potato, shallot and parmigiana; and Breakfast Sandwich on toasted ciabatta with smoked bacon, fried egg, fontina, tomato and rosemary aioli. For an even more indulgent experience, brunch-goers will enjoy several sweets including Zeppole Doughnuts, Nutella Pizza and Ricotta Cheesecake.
Diners can also delight in Pizza Craft’s menu of old school-inspired Italian specialties and award-winning wood fired pizzas, which garnered a ‘One Bite’ rating of 8.1 from none other than Barstool Sport’s commander in chief Dave Portnoy. Cozy-up to the wood-burning oven churning out combinations (range $17 – $21) including Tomato & Basil, Meatball with mozzarella and ricotta, and the four-cheese Bianca featuring scallion cream, mozzarella, taleggio, ricotta, pecorino, garlic and sage; or indulge in one of the uniquely crafted pies such as the Vodka Pie topped with vodka sauce, mozzarella, shallots, parmigiano and basil; Fennel Sausage featuring mozzarella, fennel sausage, onions and Calabrian chiles; and the vegan-friendly Impossible Pie with vegan sausage, vegan mozzarella, caramelized onions and basil. Sinfully delightful plates range from snacks such as Nonna’s Meatballs, Black Truffle Arancini and Pear & Cheese Bruschetta; to pasta dishes including Rigatoni Spicy Vodka, Fusilli Bolognese and Bucatini Carbonara; to Italian specialties such as Chicken and Eggplant Parmigianas, Wood Roasted Salmon and Chicken Française.
