Midtown Miami’s highly acclaimed eco-conscious eatery, Sustain Restaurant + Bar, located at 3252 NE 1st Avenue, has recently joined forces with Gilt City Miami, an online destination offering members in cities across the country exclusive experiences at insider pricing, to kick-off the restaurant’s exciting summer “Meatless Mondays” promotion. The posh dinner event, set for Monday, June 13, 2011 at 7 p.m., will feature a multi-course vegetarian/vegan/pescetarian dinner benefiting Slow Foods Miami, a non-profit organization which helps raise funds to create edible gardens in under-resourced Miami Dade County Public Schools.
The delicious meatless menu will be prepared by talented executive chef Alejandro Piñero - an expert at preparing sustainable cuisine – and accompanied with refreshing cocktails made with seasonal fruits and organic wines selected by beverage director/sommelier Daniel Toral. Foodies will be happy to know that Sustain will offer a “Meatless Mondays” pre-fixe menu, priced at $35 per person, every Monday, beginning June 20, 2011 through July 25, 2011. The menu will feature a choice of an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. A wine-paired menu will also be available for an additional fee.
