Summer =You + a Roman Shade + Patio Cocktails + Delicious Analog Cuisine

Bright New Summer Menu at CHARCOAL

Laid-back days bring vibrant and cool offerings to the menu at CHARCOAL Garden Bar + Grill, Miami’s first-ever full-service restaurant built entirely out of a collection of modified shipping containers. Enjoy them all in the air conditioned “conservatory” or under the new retractable Roman shade, keeping guests cool and dry while they enjoy “analog” cuisine. New menu highlights include ice-cold green gazpacho, a juicy burger and vanilla-scented yogurt panna cotta with chilled macerated berries.

Celebrate summer’s splendor with other fresh flavors like ice-cold green gazpacho, made with all green vegetables and herbs and topped with walnuts, cucumber-moistened bread and a touch of mild chile. Chill out with the fresh watermelon salad, studded with Bulgarian feta, pickled red onions, green olive oil, garden mint and Maldon salt.

A selection of Josper-grilled vegetables includes locally-sourced summer greens roasted and drizzled with Calabrian chili oil and anchovy-infused olive oil and traditional summer succotash with grilled, then chilled sweet corn, tiny green, fava and flageolet beans, Everglades tomatoes all lightly coated with a CHARCOAL herb vinaigrette.

The summer menu also offers whole branzino, perfectly grilled and simply flavored with olive oil, herbs and sea salt or Point Judith calamari served as a warm salad with creamy potatoes, crunchy celery, lemon and green olive oil, and the Faroe Island-raised salmon filet roasted in the Josper from the skin side and served with summer sorrel.

In addition, CHARCOAL’s grilled meats, including the newly-added Florida farm-raised burger stacked with blistered red onions and Kunst cheese and served on a toasted brioche and served with charcoal-charred potatoes, satisfy your longing for back-to-the-roots and time-honored summer grilling. Also savor the robust choucroute garnie platter with grilled, locally-sourced Proper sausage, slow Josper-roasted pork belly and fall-off-the-bone pork shoulder accompanied by beer-braised, house-cured sauerkraut, tiny potatoes and grainy dijon.

Satisfy your sweet tooth with desserts like individual berry-rhubarb pie topped with classic vanilla ice cream or house-made ice cream and sorbets of the day served affogato style, if you please. Bananas Josper are a nod to the classic bananas foster, flash-caramelized in the Josper and served with vanilla ice cream.

To top it all off, this summer only CHARCOAL offers half-off any and all wine bottles with dinner, including wine on tap, when ordered between 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Fridays through Sundays. Uncork the night and unwind from the week’s rush with a half-priced bottle of wine on tap or half-off a 3-2-1-0 Philippe Gonet Champagne for $63 (re. $125) or a bottle of Nerello Mascalese from the very active volcanic region of Mount Etna for $29 (normally $58), and everything in between. In addition, stop in for an early dinner at CHARCOAL on Tuesdays through Thursdays (5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.) and enjoy half-priced bottles of wine on draft, with both a red and white Bordeaux selection available.

The newly opened CHARCOAL is one of the country’s first-ever full-service restaurants built entirely out of a collection of modified shipping containers.
