Seasalt and Pepper Announces Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

MIAMI, FL (January 2014) – Seasalt and Pepper announces the official ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Thomas Regalado. Seasalt and Pepper, a seafood brasserie and lounge, opened the doors of its highly anticipated premier location on December 20, 2013. Located on the bank of the Miami River, Seasalt and Pepper, also known as Miami’s most unique waterfront restaurant, signals the latest in redevelopment and revitalization for the neighborhood known as Lummas Park.

“We are thrilled to be part of this up-and-coming neighborhood and are confident that our development here will encourage other businesses to consider Lummus Park as the next frontier in the growing Miami,” said co-owner Stephane Dupoux. Miami Today signalized this as a burst of new mixed uses – the blueprint for success laid out in a long-range plan for the Miami river. Carlos Miranda, co-owner continued “In every major city in the world the river is the central point for commercial development. The time is now for the Miami River to take off. Seasalt and Pepper provides the opportunity to renew and revitalize the Miami river making it an international destination”.

The menu at Seasalt and Pepper is a thrilling mix of new and signature gastro- classics with an emphasis on freshly sourced produce, harmonious flavor pairings and thoughtful presentations. The menu features items from wood-burning ovens which will deliver deliciously roasted and flavored casseroles of seafood and vegetables along with sumptuous Grass Fed Ribeye Steak and Veal Chop, in addition to a variety of carefully-curated raw bar, pastas and risottos.

“This menu represents all my favorite dishes I like to prepare,” says executive chef Alfredo Alvarez, whose distinguished career included stints at Alfredo’s in Rome, Casa de Campo in Dominican Republic, Tratoria Dopo Teatro in New York and Giacosa Restaurant in Coral Gables. “After closing my Miami restaurant ten years ago, I’ve traveled all over the world and this compilation is a culinary snapshot of all of my travels.” Aiding Alvarez, a two Michelin star, Sicilian guest chef Giovanni Puglisi, will personalize some of the menu items. In addition to signature cocktails Seasalt and Pepper offers an impressive list of wines, beers and champagnes.

“Next to top-notch cuisine and entertainment, the notion of seeing and being seen is paramount to the success of all the places I have done. So is the journey of patrons from the moment they enter to when they leave,” explains Dupoux, credited with developing such hospitality brands as Nikki Beach, Buddha Bar and NYLO Hotels to name just a few. “I wrapped all those lessons I’ve absorbed over the years into this space that feels like a summary of all my professional accolades.”

Poignantly, Seasalt and Pepper’s interior design is a study in implicit restraint that blends organic and industrial elements with homage to the area’s nautical roots that fuse harmoniously with Carlos Betancourt’s site-suspended installation that explores the fascination of the artist with memory and the ephemeral, while alluding to the culture of the Miami River and its history. Boat-friendly, with 250 feet of docking privileges, the restaurant-with stunning downtown views- makes the best of its waterfront location.

Seasalt and Pepper, located at 422 N.W. North River Drive in Miami, Florida, opens Wednesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. Lunch served from 11:30 a.m; dinner served beginning at 5:00 p.m. Telephone: 305.440.4200. For additional information please visit www.seasaltandpepper.com.
