With tantalizing menu options, eye catching street art and a rotation of DJs and live music, it’s no wonder R House, Wynwood Art District’s newest gem, has become a go-to destination for foodies, art aficionados and music buffs alike. Open since January 2014, R House has wowed guests with its sexy bar-offering house-made infusion cocktails, delectable dishes and cool vibe, perfect for a respite during Wynwood’s Second Saturday Art Walks, or any night out. Now, as if guests needed another reason to visit, Chef/Owner Rocco Carulli is introducing a killer Sunday Brunch and Music series.
Kicking off on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday Sauce @ R House will feature an unlimited selection of brunch dishes served to the table, priced at $35 per person. Highlighting Carulli’s eclectic, contemporary American cuisine, the menu includes lobster mac and chedder cheese; grilled artisanal sausages – chorizo, lamb and chicken; purple potato tortilla – feta cheese, roasted red pepper and thyme; chili-coffee braised short rib sliders with caramelized onion, molasses reduction and roasted garlic yogurt sauce; buttermilk cornbread and more. As if these offerings weren’t enough, diners can also choose a small plate from sweet and savory selections including chipotle rubbed pork ribs with bourbon barbeque sauce; polenta with Manchego cheese, crispy pork belly and sunny side up egg; seafood cake benedict; and blueberry pancakes with Vermont maple syrup
Of course no brunch can be complete without a glass (or two) of liquid refreshments. Guests can enjoy a single ($9) or bottomless ($22) selection of classic brunch libations including mimosas; Skky bacon-infused bloody marys; jalepeno-tequila infused bloody marias; Byejoe sangria as well as R House’s culantro martini, a refreshing signature drink made with house-infused cucumber vodka, muddled cilantro and Saint Germain Elderflower liqueur. For those looking to complement brunch with a drink with a kick, R House will be offering Wynwood Brewing Company’s michelada ($5) made with beer, lime juice, assorted spices and peppers served in a chilled, salt-chili rimmed glass; available all day. For the ultimate brunch aficionado, R House will offer a brunch + bottomless drink special priced at $52 per person.
For a sweet ending, diners can choose from dessert bite offerings ($3) including a flourless chocolate torte with fresh berries and whipped cream or tres leches cake with caramel praline sauce.
Continuing in the tradition of integrating art, food and music all under one roof, R House’s Sunday brunch will feature a rotation of live music and DJs which will perform into the evening to keep the party going until close. Curated by local DJs Laura of Miami (Laura Sutnick) and
Patrick Walsh, as well as Safe founder, Diego Martinelli, the chill, electronic beats during brunch will also be broadcast live each Sunday on Wynwood’s radio station, Klangbox.fm.
