Miami’s homegrown Pincho Factory fast casual success story launched by cousins and business partners Nedal Ahmad, Otto Othman and Nizar Ahmad – is taking its award-winning burger skills to New York City.
Coming off the restaurant’s highly-coveted Amstel Light People’s Choice Award win at the 2015 Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival’s (SOBEWFF) popular Amstel Light Burger Bash, Pincho Factory has been invited by festival founder and director Lee Brian Schrager to participate in the eighth annual Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE (NYCWFF) in this year’s Blue Moon Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Rachael Ray, taking place on Friday, October 16, 2015.
Competing in New York City for the first time, the Miami boys will be going up against local restaurant favorites at this signature event, including last year’s NYCWFF Blue Moon People’s Choice Award-winner and recipient of the Schweid & Sons Very Best Burger Award at SOBEWFF’s 2015 Burger Bash®, Josh Capon, owner of SoHo and South Beach seafood hotspot Lure Fishbar at Loews Miami Beach
Pincho Factory’s high-profile win at the SOBEWFF’s Burger Bash® catapulted the brand into the media stratosphere and helped put lines around the corners at both of its locations. At NYCWFF, Nedal and Otto hope to strike gold twice and take home the prize for Miami. Tickets for the Blue Moon Burger Bash at NYCWFF will be available starting Monday, June 8 during the Festival’s MasterCard® exclusive presale online at nycwff.org or by calling 866.969.2933. General ticket sales begin on Monday, June 22. All proceeds from NYCWFF benefit Food Bank For New York City and No Kid Hungry®.
Founded in 2010 by cousins Nedal Ahmad, Otto Othman and Nizar Ahmad, Pincho Factory, Inc., is a family-owned, Miami-based fast casual culinary brand. A dining concept centered around an eclectic menu of burgers and kebabs, Pincho Factory has gone from an in- the-know locals’ secret to a well-known Miami concept, gracing many national foodie “must try” lists. Now with two South Florida locations, more in the works and franchising in place, this unique concept is preparing for major expansion. Serving elevated street food in vibrant, casual spaces – perfect for a lunch away from the office or a late-night bite with family or friends – Pincho Factory is both something uniquely Miami and, like the city of its birth, very international.
