The Best Breweries in Wynwood, Miami (and Our Favorite Pours)

Wynwood is a special place where art, culture, and craft beer collide. While most visitors know this colorful Miami neighborhood for its iconic street murals and indie galleries, locals also know it as a hotspot for innovative breweries serving up some of our city’s most exciting pours. And as leaders in Miami food and culture tours, we’re truly grateful for that!

As passionate locals and food lovers, we love introducing people to Wynwood’s flavors — both on the plate and in the pint glass. Whether you're looking for a tropical lager, a funky sour, or a Cuban-inspired pilsner, here are four of the best breweries in Wynwood to check out right now.

Casa La Rubia (Formerly Veza Sur Brewing Co.)

55 NW 25th St, Miami, FL 33127

If Casa La Rubia feels familiar, that’s because it’s the reincarnation of the beloved Veza Sur space. At the end of 2024, Veza Sur rebranded as Casa La Rubia, home of the renowned La Rubia Blonde Ale. This stylish brewery and pub now serves as the official home of one of Miami’s most iconic craft beers.

While La Rubia — a crisp, golden ale that balances approachability with flavor — remains front and center, you’ll also find a lineup of Veza Sur’s greatest hits, like Mangolandia, Pop’s Porter, and Father Francisco Belgian-style Golden Ale. The new branding may be sleek and refreshed, but the beer program continues to celebrate Miami’s Latin roots and playful spirit.

What sets Casa La Rubia apart isn’t just the beer — it’s the vibe. Expect live music, Latin dance nights, pop-up markets, and community events that make this more than a brewery — it’s a neighborhood hub. The brewery also partners with Mad Burger to serve up some seriously good eats.

Looking for an authentic Wynwood experience with a little sabor? Casa La Rubia is your spot. It's the ideal place to unwind after a day of exploring Wynwood's world-famous street art — especially if you're joining our Wynwood Food and Street Art Tour.

J Wakefield Brewing

New taproom location TBA

J Wakefield Brewing has long been a key player in Miami’s craft beer scene. While their original Wynwood taproom recently closed, the brewery remains active and is currently scouting a new location — so we’re keeping them on this list! If you spot their cans around town or see their beers on tap, grab one.

Founded by homebrewer-turned-pro Jonathan Wakefield, this brewery gained notoriety for pushing the boundaries of flavor. Expect bold beers, playful ingredients, and a nod to pop culture in both naming and label art (Star Wars fans, take note).

Some fan favorites include:

  • El Jefe – A coconut-infused hefeweizen that tastes like a tropical breeze.
  • Dodgeball Duck IPA – Part of their rotating series, this hoppy number is brewed with 100% Hallertau Blanc hops.
  • Hops 4 Teacher – This JWB India Pale Ale is generously Citra hopped, resulting in a citrusy, juicy experience with notes of passionfruit and grapefruit.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates — we’re hopeful they’ll be pouring from a new Wynwood location soon. And don’t miss our blog The Best Things to Do in Wynwood, Miami to plan even more fun-filled days.

Cervecería La Tropical

42 NE 25th St, Miami, FL 33137

If you’re searching for a brewery that blends bold beer, vibrant culture, and Miami-Cuban history, head straight to Cervecería La Tropical. With roots dating back to 1888 Havana, La Tropical’s Miami taproom is a love letter to Caribbean heritage, complete with a lush beer garden, a modern indoor space, and a Cuban-inspired kitchen.

The beer lineup is just as compelling:

  • La Original Ámbar Lager – Based on the historic Cuban recipe that started it all.
  • Tropi Crystal – A light and crisp pilsner brewed for easy sipping in Miami’s heat.
  • Nativo Key – A tropical IPA with exotic notes of passion fruit, mango pineapple, lime, and lemon that drinks refreshingly easy.

The food menu holds its own with flavorful dishes like jerk chicken wings, tostones, ceviche, and empanadas. It’s a one-stop shop for great food, cool beats, and a laid-back Wynwood afternoon.

We’re nearing the end of this guide, but the fun doesn’t have to stop here! Check out our blog Where to Find the Best Martinis in Miami for even more local insights and recommendations.
