Miami Street Food; Tacos

By now, most people know what a taco is and how delicious they should be. Traditionally a Mexican dish composed of a tortilla (flat-rounded dough) folded or rolled around fillings, it is usually topped with garnishes like salsas, avocado, onions, cabbage, and tomatoes. A taco provides a range of rich flavors from the filling balanced with the freshness and acidity coming from the vegetables and salsas.

Fish Tacos

The quality of fish tacos depend on the quality of the seafood being used. It's simple; fresh fish equal fresh tasting fish tacos. When prepared correctly, a fish taco is perfectly complemented by the toppings placed on it and are refreshing. If given the choice, get fish tacos on a soft flour tortilla instead of one made from corn. Fish tacos need no more accompaniment than a generous squeeze of lime.

Chicken Tacos

Chicken tacos are a healthier rendition of the dish typically filled with ground beef and steak.Chicken tacos are usually marinated in lime hours before actually cooking, resulting in a flavorful meat that is a perfect base to top with vegetables and salsas. As chicken tacos tend to be drier and not as succulent as tacos with beef, we recommend adding guacamole to provide moisture, making up for lack of fat.

Beef Tacos

Beef tacos benefit from the fact that beef is flavorful and succulent already, so this leads to moist and rich meal. Most Mexican places simply grill their lightly seasoned beef, letting the meat speak for itself, so quality is of upmost importance. We recommend that you order beef tacos with corn tortillas and use varieties of hot sauces that Mexican restaurants provide in order to dress up your dish.
