Gourmets can get a taste of the GMCVB’s 11th annual Miami Spice Restaurant Program, August 1st through September 30th, as participating chefs from Greater Miami and The Beaches, top restaurants showcase items from their menus at exclusive cooking demonstrations to be held at Whole Foods Market in Coral Gables; Bloomingdale’s at Aventura Mall and The Macy’s Cooking School at Aventura Mall.
In addition, The Cellar Club at The Biltmore Hotel (1200 Anastasia Avenue in Coral Gables) has once again partnered with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to host Miami Spice themed interactive culinary demonstration luncheons set to take place on Saturday, August 18 and Saturday, September 15. The first of two cooking demos will feature chef Gaston Sanchez of Bongo’s Cuban Café/Larios on The Beach - Gloria and Emilio Estefan’s famed restaurant group - and the second will be hosted by executive chef Marcia Orozco of The Dome Restaurant and Caviar Bar. Celebrating its 11th year, Miami Spice Restaurant Program is the wildly anticipated summer long celebration when restaurants in Greater Miami and The Beaches offer discounted three-course lunch and dinner menus is spicier than ever. New to the program is an expanded format, which is offered simultaneously from August 1 – September 30, 2012, and gives Miami Spice fans more wide-ranging dining options. The expanded format of Miami Spice – presented by American Express and sponsored by Stella Artois and BACARDI® rum – consists of a two restaurant groups: Luxury Dining Restaurants and Fine Dining Restaurants. Luxury dining restaurants offer three course prix-fixe lunches at $23 per person, dinners at $39. Fine dining restaurants feature menus at $19 for lunch, $33 for dinner.
