Miami Culinary Tours approved to conduct tours at the Wynwood Walls

The organization is one of only four tour companies that have been granted this prestigious distinction. “We were the first tour company conducting food and art tours in the neighborhood of Wynwood. We know the evolution that has happened in Wynwood since its inception”, says owner, Grace Della. “This approval to conduct tours within the Wynwood Walls is so important to our company because Wynwood Walls is known internationally for being one of the best places in the world to see graffiti art.”

The Miami Culinary Tour guiding team had to pass a rigorous and extensive exam. “Many tour operators applied to receive this special permission because everyone wants and was conducting tours inside the walls. We are proud of our guide’s commitment to provide a top-notch experience in the Wynwood Walls to the thousands of satisfied guests all around the world we have served. It is through their hard work, we were one of only four companies that were ultimately chosen”, says Della. “It is an honor to be approved by Goldman Properties to continue sharing our passion for art and Wynwood.” The company also had to provide all documentation including license and proof of insurance in order to be in stiff contention.

The Wynwood Walls were created in 2009 under the vision and leadership of the late Tony Goldman of Goldman Properties. Artists from all over the world have contributed to Wynwood Walls and highlights some of Miami’s most talented graffiti experts. The site has been covered by every major media outlet from the New York Times, Miami Herald and the BBC garnering international fame. Mr. Goldman’s intention was to create an art center to expose the public to the street graffiti movement which he felt was underappreciated. Since its beginning in 2009, Wynwood Walls has seen over 50 artists hailing from 16 different countries covering over 80,000 square feet of walls.

Miami Culinary Tours was founded by entrepreneur Grace Della more than a decade ago.
