Every year, Palm Beach hosts its annual Food and Wine Festival, an event carefully “seasoned” to every foodie’s palate. This year, Chef Michael Garaghty, Executive Chef at WÜSTHOF, who has over 30 years of experience in professional kitchens, and is an expert in topics such as knife skills, cooking techniques and food prep tricks for the holiday season will be at the festival.
On December 16, Chef Mike will be participating in a cooking demo at 4:15pm during the Grand Tasting. He will also be a guest judge at the annual Grand Chef Throwdown, welcoming three local chefs as they compete for the $10,000 charity prize presented by Creekstone Farms.

Originally from Rhode Island, Chef Mike began his career on the ground floor, working as a line cook in Minneapolis, where he fell in love with the fast pace, teamwork, joy of fine cuisine within the culinary industry.
As a Sous Chef at a Minneapolis hotel, Chef Mike honed his skills apprenticing under its the Executive Chef. Soon, Chef Mike became Executive Chef, before moving on to lead the kitchens of various establishments, including his own full-service catering company, A Call to Catering, which he sold in 2011 to join the WÜSTHOF team. Having previously been a fan and enthusiastic WÜSTHOF brand ambassador, in his new role, Executive Chef of Wüsthof-Trident of America, Mike appears in WÜSTHOF-sponsored television segments, digital video series, consumer food festivals, and more.
