Maya Tapas & Grill Opens A Second Location In Miami Beach

Let’s be honest, Lincoln Road isn’t necessarily known for its quality food (except you, Meat Market!). But two years ago Maya Tapas & Grill opened on the scenic street offering tasting small dishes and a social setting to match its location. The Argentinean restaurant quickly became a favorite for locals.

This month, owner Rolando Maya along with his wife Marsha and three children Alejandro, Martin and Sara announced the opening of Maya Tapas & Grill at 530 Ocean Drive. Unlike its Lincoln Road counterpart, the 4, 500 square-foot Ocean Drive location offers an indoor dining area along with its outdoor patio seating, plus a lounge and full bar. But like the original location, you can expect Argentinean dishes by chef Hector Diaz. And the menu tends to be easy on the wallet with specials as low as $4.95 for breakfast and $9.95 for lunch. The breakfast menu offers a twist on brunch classics including an array of three-egg omelets to dishes like lox breakfast, Maya eggs benedict and smoked salmon eggs benedict. Lunch items include perennial favorites alongside fresh, new seasonal dishes such as the Maya tropic salad, Maya’s signature avocado salad and several other soups, salads, pizzas, pastas and sandwiches to choose from. For dinner, choose from an assortment of meat and fish specialties including their signature asado, buerre blanc Florida red snapper, lemon honey salmon or opt for one of their risottos. Patrons can also enjoy selections from their warm and cold tapas menu. Hot tapas include baked brie, morcilla Argentina, garlic shrimp, mussels Provencal among others or choose from their cold tapas, which includes ceviche of the day, beef carpaccio, olive tapenade, bruschetta and more.

And when they say family-owned, they mean it. You’re sure to see Rolando Maya, his wife Marsha and three children Alejandro, Martin and Sara, greeting customers. Customers tend to become family, and what better way to show the love then by offering half off the entire wine list? Monday through Wednesday enjoy half-priced bottle of wine, and if you’re a local get your corkage fee waived. Sounds like our kind of place!
