Latin Restaurant Weeks will be hosting its 2022 annual event in Miami from October 7 to 21. In partnership with Grubhub Community Fund and Feed the Soul Foundation, the regional showcase will amplify Latin-owned culinary businesses and talent, including restaurants, bakeries, chefs, bartenders and food trucks.
Miami is a majority Latino city — 72.5 percent of its population is Hispanic and the nation’s eleventh-largest Hispanic population. The Magic City is a melting pot of all Latin American countries from Cuba, Venezuela, Chile, to Mexico and Costa Rica.
The two-week event brings prominence to the variety of Latin regions represented and the people and businesses introducing them to Miamians and tourists visiting. Dubbed the Tour de Sabor, participants are to curate selections for their Latin Restaurant Weeks menus that best reveal the authenticity of the fare of their culture in an effort to engage new patrons to their business.
With Miami’s Latin Restaurant Weeks taking place during the last week of Hispanic Heritage Month, this will be the perfect opportunity for everyone to get involved and appreciate the melting pot of cultures. Starting just in time before the month ends, locals will be able to celebrate with participating Latin restaurants by enjoying all of the flavors of culture.
During Latin Restaurant Weeks, guests will be treated to enticing menu specials for brunch, lunch and dinner, as well as tasty cocktail promotions from participating restaurants. Registration for restaurants will be free this year, and each participating business will highlight a signature dish from their menu or a curated pre-fixe menu to showcase the Latin flavors they have to offer. Participating restaurants include La Catrina, Bachour, Amigo Grill, Fusion Fuego, Botanico Gin & Cookhouse, Tequiztlan Mexican Restaurant & Tequila Bar, and so much more! Latin Restaurant Weeks provides the perfect opportunity to try a variety of amazing dishes from different eateries without breaking the bank.
This year’s campaign focuses on encouraging locals and tourists in Miami to discover all of the flavors of Latin America in Miami, a great opportunity for them to try an old favorite or discover a new gem. Latin Restaurant Weeks showcases the vast diversity of Latin America by including as many different countries' cuisines.
“Miami is a vibrant city, a true melting pot of cultures, and we’re honored to highlight the cultural abundance that makes this city unique,” said Karinn Andréa Luckett, Co-Founder of Latin Restaurant Weeks. “Through the Tour de Sabor, locals and visitors can delve into flavors from Peru, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Venezuela, Colombia and throughout the Latin diaspora, so Latin Restaurant Weeks is the perfect opportunity to try something new or visit an old favorite all while supporting your local Latinx culinary industry.”
