Kane Steakhouse

Miami Beach’s foodies will soon celebrate the addition of one of the area’s most significant dining concepts, Kane Steakhouse, slated to open mid-June 2011. A partnership between Mathew Glazier –the man behind NYC’s venerable Strip House and Michael Jordan’s The Steak House at Grand Central Terminal and others, and nightlife triarchy Roman Jones, Justin Levine, and Eric Milon – creators of Mansion, SET, Louis Bar-Lounge and others, who make their first foray into fine dining, Kane will offer a veritable trifecta of fine cuisine, modern design and seductive ambiance. Located at 431 Washington Avenue in South Beach’s booming “South of Fifth Street” area, the menu will feature a sumptuous array of upscale steakhouse classics: irresistible appetizers, perfectly charred premium cuts of beef, as well as seafood, pork, and poultry and creative sides. The restaurant will also feature a vast selection of fine wines and innovative cocktails.

At the helm is chef Daniel Ganem (28), a talented rising star who brings to Kane an unbeatable mix of steakhouse savvy and fine dining experience. Previously of Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak and, most recently, Laurent Tourondel’s BLT Steak, Ganem, a Miami native of Chilean descent, has also worked under world-renowned Michelin starred chef Martin Berasategui in the Basque region of Spain. In addition to a fine culinary team, the front of the house will be overseen by expert restaurant manager John Thai, a familiar face in Miami by virtue of his nearly 16 years at Carpaccio Restaurant in Bal Harbour, who will provide the seamless service he is known for to every guest.

The esteemed design firms of Francois Frossard Design and 7 Sins Design Group have collaborated to create a chic, sexy and organic interior dining room seating 122 guests, featuring pecky cypress walls, black eel-skin booths and an eye-catching white onyx bar juxtaposed with chrome inlay and black raw silk tufted walls, complemented by dark wooden beams and white linen tablecloths. Plasma screens will be positioned along the back of the bar and when not in use, hidden behind mirrored panels. In addition, a stunningly beautiful private dining area, hidden behind a dramatic glass shelving and one-way mirror, seats 12 guests and features Murano glass chandeliers, and full audio-visual capabilities, including a 60- inch plasma screen, allowing guests to make their visit to Kane a truly unique, one-of-a-kind experience.

Scheduled to open mid-June 2011, Kane Steakhouse is located at 431 Washington Avenue in the heart of South Beach. Dinner to be served seven nights a week.
