The chic Coconut Grove eatery, Isabelle’s Grill Room & Garden located in The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami, is welcoming summer with new fresh and enticing offerings spearheaded by the luxury resort’s new Executive Chef Ashley Stanton. A native of Buffalo, New York, Stanton has been a member of The Ritz-Carlton culinary team since 2012, most recently in the role of Executive Sous Chef, and brings close to 15 years of expertise and creativity to the resort. On Monday, June 13, 2022, Stanton’s revamped lunch and dinner offerings will be unveiled at Isabelle’s to celebrate the change of the season and welcome hotel guests and locals to an inspired, elevated experience that invigorates the senses through vibrant flavors, an eclectic and dynamic dining room and outdoor garden oasis with elegant service.
Highlighting fresh and seasonal ingredients, lunch at Isabelle’s offers a variety of new offerings; ideal for guests to enjoy while basking in the fresh air of Summer on the picturesque outdoor garden terrace. To start, highlights include a Hearth Skillet served with rosemary, coconut palm dinner rolls and wildflower honey butter; Feta Bruciata with blistered tomatoes and lemon agrodolce; Pomodoro Verdi Fritti with green tomatoes, charred avocado, Nueske’s bacon and aioli; and Big Eye Tuna Crudo complemented by Key lime, arbequina and Aleppo ($9 – $26). A selection of lighter, seasonal options are showcased amongst Market Greens including Spinach & Rocket topped with red quinoa, strawberries, fresh chevre crumbles, Marcona almonds, pickled shallots and blood orange with a champagne vinaigrette and Spring Mizuna with sesame crusted ahi tuna, avocado, jicama, watermelon radish, cucumber and plantain, accompanied by ginger passionfruit vinaigrette ($18 – $32). Several delectable handhelds will surely be enjoyed from the Signature Sandwiches section including Caprese Tartine with grilled tomato, fresh burrata, cucumber, Kalamata, tapenade and arbequina; Blackened Corvina topped with fennel and jicama slaw, watercress, Romanesco and aioli; Buttermilk Chicken BLT, served on toasted brioche with Nueske’s bacon, vine ripe tomatoes, aioli and rocket; and a Club Burger featuring short rib and American wagyu with applewood smoked bacon, white cheddar, port onion jam and house sauce ($22 – $28). The well-rounded lunch menu also highlights several Mains such as Fresh Pappardelle with seasonal mushrooms, charred onion, ricotta salata and Meyer lemon; Faroe Island Salmon served with signature hash, Romanesco, green pea tendrils and bell pepper crema; and Heritage Roasted Chicken sourced from Joyce Farms with complements including corn succotash, farro ragout and grilled shimeji ($21 – $35).
While the midday menu is tempting, the new Dinner dishes are tantalizing enough to warrant a second trip in the evening where guests can indulge in lunch favorites amongst a number of new evening offerings. Beginning with Starters, notable plates include American Wagyu Carpaccio with Dijon truffle vinaigrette, aioli, Manchego and salt-cured egg yolk and Fresh Prawns complemented by charred tomato cocktail as well as Half-Dozen Seasonal Oysters served with serrano and lime mignonette ($21 – $26). Exclusive to the evening menu, noteworthy items such as Diver Scallops served with fennel, leek puree, blood orange and rye and From the Grill items including Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Florida Snapper, Faroe Island Salmon and New Zealand Lamb Chops ($28 – $56), as well as a daily market cut offered at market price. Grilled items are complemented by confit of shallots, vine ripened tomatoes and watercress and served with sauces such as Au Poivre. Horseradish cream, Isabelle’s steak sauce and fine herbs butter. The dinner selections are accompanied by side offerings such as whipped potatoes, signature frites, wild mushroom ragout, Brussels sprouts and seasonal vegetables. In addition, Isabelle’s offers several indulgent desserts including Choco-Raspberry – Valrhona chocolate mousse, raspberry preserves, chocolate and maldon sea salt streusel; Pina Colada – pineapple upside down cake, coconut flan, Zacapa rum caramel sauce and macadamia brittle; and Mojito Lime Tart – blackberry mojito sorbet, lime mint tart, meringue crisps, blackberry sauce and candied lime ($14 – $15).
Complementing the new offerings is a vibrant cocktail program featuring a lineup of floral-inspired Signature Cocktails that evoke, in a glass, the restaurant’s garden vibe. Notable libations include Jasmine Highball – jasmine vodka infusion, lime juice, lychee puree and club soda; Always Thyme for Love – gin thyme infusion, honey syrup, white peach puree, lemon and Charles de Fere champagne; Isabelle’s Garden Mojito – white rum, apple liqueur, rosemary, thyme, mint, lime and Charles de Fere champagne and Elderfashioned – bourbon, St. Germain and angostura bitters, amongst others ($16 – $17).
