Horacio Rivadero was a semi-finalist for Best Chef:South in 2014. He worked under Douglas Rodriguez for a decade and then worked at the Dining Room before popping up at a South Beach hotel. Today, he leads The District, a new restaurant dedicating itself to serving a blending of fresh and local ingredients through a contemporary Pan-American-influenced menu. By updating classic dishes such as Steak and Eggs, Rivadero caters to the masses while still applying a bit of creative freedom. For example, the aforementioned dish is in fact served with duck eggs, an interesting take on a dish that can be found on most brunch dishes.
Where to find him: The District. 190 NE 46th St, Miami, FL 33137. (305) 573-4199
