As football fans and foodies from coast-to-coast gear up for the sixth annual “John Offerdahl’s Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival” on Nov. 14, McCoy’s Oceanfront, the beachfront restaurant at Fort Lauderdale Marriott Pompano Beach Resort & Spa is offering a preview of special dishes for those who can’t wait for game day.
Available for purchase Oct. 17-Nov. 13, diners can delight in McCoy’s Wagyu Beef Tostones with Chimichurri Cabernet Reduction, Escabece and Fresh Micro Greens ($18) paired with Red Rock Malbec ($10 glass, $38 bottle), created by McCoy’s Executive Chef Daniel Gerety. Chef Gerety is part ofan impressive line-up of Miami Dolphins legends and critically acclaimed South Florida chefs preparing signature entrees for as many as 3,000 attendees at the event on Saturday, Nov. 14.
During the Gridiron Grill-Off, out-of-town guests can also take advantage of Marriott Pompano Beach’s Gridiron Grill-Off Weekend Package, including luxurious ocean-view accommodations, two general admission tickets to the Gridiron Grill-Off, a complimentary shuttle to and from the event site and daily buffet breakfast for two at McCoy’s Oceanfront. The package starts at $225 per night and can be booked online using the code “WKD.”
Created by five-time All-Pro Miami Dolphins Linebacker John Offerdahl, “John Offerdahl’s Broward Health® Gridiron Grill-Off Food & Wine Festival” will pair Miami Dolphins legends with South Florida’s top chefs to prepare signature dishes on the grill as part of an exciting culinary competition for charity. 100% of event net proceeds will benefit Offerdahl’s Hand-Off Foundation and its mission to “Feed the Needs of Kids in Crisis.” Charitable recipients include 4KIDS of South Florida, HOPE South Florida, Here’s Help, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association Educational Foundation, Miami Dolphins Foundation and Taste of the NFL.
