Goya Foods Supports the 2012 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE

Miami Beach, Florida (December 2011) – The Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE is pleased to announce that Goya Foods has joined the Festival’s impressive record of sponsors for the 2012 Festival. The 11th annual edition of America’s favorite wine and culinary extravaganza will take place February 23 – 26, and benefits the Florida International University (FIU) Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center.

"Goya Foods is a great addition to the Festival,” says Festival founder and director Lee Brian Schrager, who also serves as vice president of corporate communications & national events at Southern Wine & Spirits of America, which hosts the Festival. “The support of quality brands like Goya allow us to continue producing the Festival each year and give our consumers an excellent wine and culinary experience."

Consumers will get to taste Goya products throughout the Festival weekend. Goya will be a part of the Whole Foods Market Grand Tasting Village on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26. The Festival’s signature American Express Grand Tasting Tents will be overflowing with samplings from South Florida’s greatest restaurants and endless wine and spirits offerings from the world’s finest producers represented in the Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida portfolio. Everyone’s favorite chefs and culinary rock stars will take to the KitchenAid Culinary Demonstration stages for the ultimate in foodie fun!

In addition, Goya will take to the high seas aboard The Biscayne Lady for Salsa at Sea hosted by Douglas Rodriguez & Aarón Sanchez on Sunday, February 26. Special guest chefs Timon Balloo (sugarcane, Miami, FL) and Pichet Ong (La Esquina, New York, NY) will join in to offer the best in Latin fare for a truly inspired brunch cruise.

Goya will also be a part of the Festival’s family-friendly programming, taking place on Saturday, February 25 and Sunday, February 26, at Jungle Island. Florida Blue presents Fun and Fit as a Family featuring Kellogg’s Kidz Kitchen returns with healthy food tastings, physical fitness activities, interactive food labs and star-studded healthy cooking demonstrations.
