Known for his creative talent, passion, dedication and excellence to every bite, Brasel was asked to develop a one-of-a-kind recipe using a range of Goya products as ingredients. The delectable result is, a Tropical Fatty Slow Roasted Brisket with Coconut Curry Sauce, which will be served at Goya’s tent at the Grand Tasting Village on Saturday, Feb. 25 from 12:00-3:00 p.m., including a recipe demonstration by the celebrated chef.
“Goya Foods is proud to be a first-time participant and the official Latin/Hispanic Foods provider of the 2012 SOBEWFF. The partnership with Chef Brasel gives us a unique opportunity to share our products with a world-class chef,” said Frank Unanue, president of Goya Foods of Florida. “We know that guests will enjoy the exciting and exclusive recipe he has created for Goya, which exemplifies the best of South Florida cuisine.”
Brasel is currently the co-owner and Chef at Meat Market, Miami Beach’s contemporary American steakhouse with a NYC vibe that has quickly become one of the city’s most popular restaurants. Brasel created a menu that embraces the staples of a classic steakhouse, with an artful, contemporary spin.
“It’s an honor to be working with Goya Foods of Florida for this special weekend that gives South Florida chefs and restaurants a platform to demonstrate their best recipes,” said Chef Sean Brasel. “For our Goya dish, we give a traditional American dish a Latin flair using an assortment of Goya products. Miami’s cuisine combines a variety of flavors that make every dish a sensational culinary experience. I hope that guests who visit the Goya outpost will enjoy the dish as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
