Fireman Derek’s Bake Shop, the award-winning, South Florida-based bakery will be offering a special treat throughout the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Sweet seekers can indulge in a limited-time Pink Birthday Cake with a rosy buttercream frosting and extra sprinkles to show their support. Cakes will be available at the Wynwood and Coconut Grove locations. Priced at $8.50 per slice, $68 for whole cakes, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation.
To extend a sweet “thank you” to all of the men and women who, on a daily basis, ensure our safety throughout the pandemic, Fireman Derek’s will offer a complimentary scoop of ice cream to fire, police, sheriff, EMT, and hospital ER personnel with valid ID during the weekend of October 10-12 at the Coconut Grove location exclusively. Fireman Derek’s will serve eight flavors of handmade ice cream; all of which are creamy iterations of bake shop favorites such as White Chocolate Guava Cookie Dough, Salted Caramel, Birthday Cake, Red Velvet Cake, Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Brownie with Caramel Swirl and more.
Beginning October 1, 2020, Fireman Derek’s will debut their seasonal Pumpkin Pie made with FD’s signature, flaky flour crust, a creamy, custardy pumpkin spiced puree filling topped with fresh whipped cream, crunchy streusel and drizzled with caramel. Luckily the seasonally sweet specials don’t stop there: Fireman Derek’s is also offering Pumpkin Cheesecake throughout the month of October. Cradled in the bake shop’s classic graham cracker crust, the Pumpkin Cheesecake is made with a perfectly spiced, delightfully airy filling and topped with house-made pralines and drizzled with caramel sauce. The Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake will also be transformed into seasonal ice cream flavor for the Fall, details forthcoming. The Pumpkin Pie and Pumpkin Cheesecake will be available for the entire month of October at both locations.
Can’t choose between which pie to take home? Fireman Derek’s also offers a “Pie Sampler” for the indecisive dessert enthusiast; choose up to six, individual pie selections for just $38. For a seasonal sampling, guests can combine a slice of Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie, Pecan Pie and Chocolate Pecan Pie; the perfect way to satisfy those Autumnal flavor cravings.
Throughout the month of October, Fireman Derek’s will offer complimentary coffee with every empanada purchase on weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 8AM to Noon. Priced at $5.99, empanada flavors on offer include Ground Beef, Original Chicken, Buffalo Chicken and Spinach Feta. Complimentary coffee options feature a selection of menu items including: Espresso, Colada, Americano, Cortadito, Latte, Café Con Leche, Cappuccino and Iced Coffee.
