Put on your dancing shoes and dance the night away as InterContinental Miami hosts the hottest Salsa Night in downtown Miami. On Thursday, November 11 and Wednesday, November 24 from 6:30PM to 10:30PM, guests are virtually transported to Havana via the hotel’s Brickell Ballroom to enjoy an evening of live entertainment including a DJ spinning salsa and Merengue classics. From novice to experienced dancers – and even those who just want to enjoy the music – the evening will feature small bites and drink specials, hand-rolled cigars and complimentary salsa lessons. Toro Toro, chef/restaurateur Richard Sandoval’s Pan-Latin steakhouse located on the lobby level of the hotel, has announced the return of its decadent unlimited Pan-Latin Sunday Brunch from 12PM to 4PM. The elevated culinary experience, curated by Executive Chef Jean Delgado, highlights the flavorful cuisine and techniques from the Americas that Toro Toro is highly coveted for. Embracing diverse flavors, Sunday Brunch is priced at $59++ per person and served by the restaurant’s personnel at action stations where guests can indulge in a variety of offerings. The Salad Station includes Truffle Caesar Salad, Wedge Salad with double smoked bacon, Heirloom Tomato Carpaccio, Farro Salad and Baby Kale Salad. Guests will also enjoy the Rodizio De La Parilla Station featuring Picanha steak, Achiote Chicken, Tomahawk Pork Chop, Argentinian Chorizo and Fried Grouper; and the Dessert Bar showcasing a variety of Pan-Latin cakes and specialties such as Bananas Foster. For more classic offerings, the Traditional Breakfast Station includes omelets and waffles. Toro Toro will also feature live entertainment and several a la carte add-ons including Guacamole Chilindron topped with Pork belly, chicharrons, queso fresco, plantain & boniato chips ($16); a Toro Seafood Tower piled with oysters, tiger shrimp, stone crab and tuna ceviche aji amarillo ($89); and a tableside carving of 32 oz. Wagyu Tomahawk ($130). Brunch sips include bottomless mimosas for $20 per person as well as a new Mimosa Flight featuring five specialty infused mimosas – Islamorada, Tequila Sunrise, Creamsicle, Midnight Toro and Toronja Rosada – for $45 per person. Toro Toro has bowed to popular demand and announced the debut of its revamped Express Lunch. Available Monday through Friday from 12PM to 4PM, local business men and women and visitors alike can indulge in a new Salad Bar menu as well as updated a la carte lunchtime offerings focusing on the bright and bold flavors of Latin America throughout the week. Guests will find a robust unlimited Salad Bar menu which also includes a selection of Pan-Latin desserts. Priced at $27++ per person, the offerings include Truffle Caesar Salad with parmesan, crispy plantains, and truffle dressing; Wedge Salad served with double smoke bacon, blue cheese, red onion, cherry tomatoes and poblano dressing; Heirloom Tomato Carpaccio topped with pickle red onion, basil, pistachio vinaigrette; Farro Salad with golden raisins, cranberry raisins, apricots and chipotle vinaigrette; and Baby Kale Salad topped with avocado, cherry tomatoes, red onions, crispy quinoa and Meyer lemon vinaigrette. All salads can be complemented by the addition of chicken or beef.
Rounding out the lunch offerings is a revamped a la carte menu including Appetizers such as Lomo Saltado Empanada ($16), Chicken & Chorizo Croquettes ($16), Charred Grill Wings ($18), Tuna Ceviche Nikkei ($20) and Guacamole Chilindron ($16). Other starters include Bone Marrow & Short Rib, served with caramelized smoked onions and toasted bread ($18) and Crispy Calamari with piquillo tartar aioli and pineapple slaw ($18). Entrées on offer include Toro Toro Burger with smoked bacon, avocado and chipotle aioli ($20); Churrasco Sandwich topped with caramelized onions, sweet plantain, provolone and garlic aioli ($21); Fried Chicken Thigh Sandwich with truffle aioli, Boston bib lettuce and tomato ($17), and Grilled Tiger Prawns Al Ajillo served with Mexican street corn ($25). Known as a dining destination for quality cuts of steak, the lunch menu will also highlight several Toro Toro Steaks including Rib Eye Steak ($65), Skirt Steak ($50), Picanha ($48) and Filet Mignon ($55).
