Downtown Miami’s revitalized and re-imagined restaurant, Chophouse Miami, is celebrating the New Year with an exclusive menu, live music and dancing. On New Year’s Eve, the restaurant will serve a delicious four-course, pre-fixe dinner during its first seating, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., priced at $155 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Guests will be greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne. For the first-course, diners can enjoy the jumbo lump crabtini with avocado salad and passion fruit emulsion. For the second-course, choose between the spiced pumpkin-lobster soup with lobster sausage, toasted pumpkin seeds and bourbon cream or the watercress and glazed pork belly salad with shaved fennel, apples, gorgonzola cheese, radicchio lettuce and cider vinaigrette. Entrée selections include Chophouse “surf-n-turf” – pan seared filet mignon, grilled jumbo shrimp, roasted garlic smashed potato, green bean gratin, confit cherry tomatoes and wild mushroom truffle sauced; spiced maple glaze Chilean sea bass – roasted chestnut puree, sweet-sour Brussels sprouts, cranberry chutney and cabernet reduction; or roasted cervena venison loin – parsnip puree, sautéed spinach, red onion marmalade, juniper-blackberry reduction and crispy shallots. Decadent dessert offerings include crispy peanut bar coated in coconut flakes, dulce de leche and chocolate sauce or cheesecake with hibiscus berry coulis and crispy sweet wonton.
A five-course, pre-fixe dinner will begin at 9 p.m., during the restaurant’s second seating, priced at $195 per person, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Guests will be greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne. The meal will commence with a dish of stone crabtini with avocado salad and passion fruit emulsion. For the second-course, diners can choose between the spiced pumpkin-lobster soup with lobster sausage, toasted pumpkin seeds and bourbon cream or the watercress and glazed pork belly salad with shaved fennel, apples, gorgonzola cheese, radicchio lettuce and cider vinaigrette. Third-course selections include lobster crostilliant – lobster wrapped in shredded phyllo dough and corn coulis; or ahi tuna tartar with soy-ginger dressing, tobiko, avocado, cilantro and crispy wonton. For the main-course, guests can enjoy the Chophouse “surf-n-turf” – pan seared filet mignon, grilled jumbo shrimp, roasted garlic smashed potato, green bean gratin, confit cherry tomatoes and wild mushroom truffle sauce; the spiced maple glaze Chilean sea bass – roasted chestnut puree, sweet-sour Brussels sprouts, cranberry chutney and cabernet reduction; or the roasted cervena venison loin – parsnip puree, sautéed spinach, red onion marmalade, juniper-blackberry reduction and crispy shallots. Dessert options include the same dishes being offered during the first seating.
