Cerveceria 100 Montaditos

I frequent Midtown Miami quite a bit, in the last few years this neighborhood changed so much, I remember driving through on my way to work on Brickell and this area was one that you would have been concerned if your car broke down. But things changed dramatically, a lot of money was put on the area and several buildings, national retail stores and restaurants have opened up to serve the young crow that is moving to the area. It is hard to keep up with how many restaurants are opening on a monthly basis. One of the last additions to the area is Cerveceria 100 Montaditos.

When I walked into this place and looked at the menu, I could not believe my eyes that pretty much everything on the menu was $1 so I started questioning how good could it be. I was up for a surprise. I went with my friend who is also a foodie after we took an Art Deco walking tour in Miami Beach.

These petit sandwiches were quite taste, I have to say, not much inside of them but hey, at $1 a pop you can't complaint. My favorite was the one with tortilla Espanola inside which is potatoes with egg, kind of like an Italian Frittata. The bread was exquisite and you want that to be good because you are getting a lot of bread. It was fresh and crunchy on the outside. We paired the montaditos with a $3 glass of Albarino wine which based on my understanding is the most popular wine you can have in Spain. It was chilled to perfection.

The place was super busy, there was a line of about 12 people when we walked in. This is a lunch place where everyone who works in the area comes for a quick bite. The line moved very quickly and soon enough we were sat down. There is no service, no waiters in the house, you order and then wait for your name to be called, you pick up your food from the kitchen counter and off you go.
