The flavors of the Western Cape region of South Africa can be found at Big Easy Winebar & Grill, open since December, offering patrons a taste of authentic South African cuisine with prime cuts of meat and seafood fresh from the South Atlantic and Indian oceans. A region with rich history and a multi-ethnic society, South African cuisine is influenced by Dutch, Indian and English cultures. Famous for their braai (or barbecue) which is typically enjoyed and shared at social gatherings, Big Easy offers selections from The Grill ($34-$110) including Prime Dry Aged Kansas City Strip; Bison Ribeye; and for the ultimate sharing experience, The Big Easy Braai – a mixed grill feast for 2-4 guests complete with South African farmers sausage, a 12 oz. top sirloin, double lamb chops, Nigerian prawns and a choice of two sides – from Risotto Verde and Duck Fat Roasted Fingerling Potatoes to Sliced Heirloom Tomatoes. Just in time for National Steakhouse Month, Meat Market is launching Signature Steak Sunday, where guests can enjoy Signature Steaks at half price every Sunday through the end of summer.
