Fresh Seafood Markets in Miami

Miami has plenty of seafood markets where you can get the freshest catches on the same day! Here are our top picks:

Casablanca Seafood Bar and Grill

Casablanca Seafood Bar and Grill frequently ranks as one of the best seafood restaurants in the city for a good reason: its next-door market where fresh fish is brought in daily! Casablanca is located right on the Miami River, so you can watch the boats come in as you browse their selection or dine at the restaurant with harbor views.

Garcia’s Seafood Grille

Right next to Casablanca is Garcia’s Seafood Grille and Fish Market, a Miami institution that has been running for 50 years. This family-run market even has its own fishing fleet, meaning you’re getting your seafood straight from the source! You can dine on their delicious menu at their restaurant, buy fresh from the market, or even order online.

Plaza Seafood Market

Walking into Plaza Seafood Market, you’ll feel like you’re right in the ocean. The smell of fresh fish permeates the store, where you can find everything from lobster and snapper to shrimp and redtail. Staff can even clean and debone your fish for you. While browsing here you may work up an appetite, but there is a restaurant onsite — which often has a queue!

Sonia’s Seafood Market & Restaurant

Known as "The First Key of Florida” for its unbeatable seafood experience, Sonia’s Seafood Market & Restaurant is renowned for the freshness and quality of its fish. You can choose from their existing restaurant menu, or select your fish straight from the market which will be prepared however you like and served with two sides.

Captain’s Tavern

From an old post office to one of Miami’s most popular seafood joints, Captain’s Tavern serves just about every fish you could dream of. The market sources its selection from a network of suppliers, while the restaurant dishes up everything from lobster and sushi to conch and branzino. They’ve even been recognized by Food + Wine as one of "America’s 50 Most Amazing Wine Experiences"!

For a taste of luxury, you can’t go wrong with Klaw Miami. Set in a beautifully restored building with views over Biscayne Bay, Klaw delivers a fulsome culinary experience.
