Best Miami Brunch

brunch in miami

I love brunch. Brunch in Miami is awesome because 1) It’s breakfast food and 2) You don’t have to wake up early to have it. Nothing can make me as happy as having pancakes at one in the afternoon. Brunch sometimes conjures grandmas drinking too many mimosas, or grandfathers choking on poorly masticated sausage links. But in Miami, brunch is really a repose from partying too hard the night before. Well, instead of going to the nearest Denny's, we’ve tracked down the best brunch places to go in your hungover state.

Enjoy the Scenery, Morgan’s - Midtown

If you’d like to enjoy Miami’s fine weather, then go to Morgan’s where you can eat delicious breakfast food at their outside seating. Morgan’s looks like a cute little cottage tucked away amidst midtown’s high-rises. Not feeling the sun today? There’s always room inside to eat. Portions are generous and we suggest their famous pillow light brioche french toast, eggs benedict, or chicken and waffles (or you can always opt for all!). Brunch is served every day from opening till 4pm.

Bang For Your Buck, OTC - Brickell

Don’t be intimidated by their location; OTC is located in a ritzy area, but their prices are definitely affordable, and their stuff is quality. This place is ideal to go with your friends and recap all the crazy things you committed the night before. Although OTC is known for their craft beers, it doesn’t not take the limelight away from their brunch menu. Try their delicious sweet belgian waffle, it’s made with hazelnut brittle, dark chocolate ganache, and homemade whipped cream. And my favorite part about OTC is their endless mimosas for only $15. Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30am-3pm.

Brunch Like a Hipster, The Federal - MiMo District

The Federal is great for New American cuisine -- especially their brunch options. The restaurant is a hip place that offers outside seating as well, located in the MiMo District. You must try their Jar O’ Duck, which is crusty bread, candied sweet potatoes, marshmallow fluff, and a slow-cooked hudson valley duck -- all layered in a wide mouth glass jar. The sweet and savory combination is mouthwatering. Also, the herbs sprinkled on the sweet potato are grown on site and this establishment uses other local ingredients to keep their food as fresh tasting as possible. Did I mention bottomless mimosas? Brunch is available Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30am-3pm.

Star of the MiMo District, Blue Collar - MiMo District

Blue Collar has been making a name for itself around Miami for some time now. This place is not only great for quality food, the service is so awesome you’ll think you know them personally. I suggest their Shrimp and Grits. Grits are not flavorful by any means, but at Blue Collar they use trugole cheese, New Orleans style barbecue sauce, and thick chunks of bacon for added flavor. Need vegetarian options? They have something called the “Veggie Plate” where you can pick four items for their Veg chalkboard and choose from dishes like roasted artichoke hearts to watermelon cucumber salad. Brunch is offered Saturdays and Sundays from 11am through 3pm.

Run, Pig, Run, Swine - Coral Gables.

Swine is located off of Miracle Mile, and it’ll be worth the distant parking. Swine offers southern style fare, and that is also incorporated in their brunch options. Must haves are their Mac & Cheese, which has five different types of cheeses and finished with an herb crust. Also, you cannot leave without trying their Pulled Pork N’ Eggs. It’s made with your choice of cooked organic farm eggs (get them runny!), smoke and pulled pork, and all placed on top of South Carolina style grits. I was a disbeliever of grits, and now I’ve seen the light at Swine. Brunch is available Saturdays and Sundays from 10am through 4pm.
