Friday, December 7

Get ready to boogie because Detroit meets Miami on Saturday, December 7 for the Haute to Death party at The Anderson. Jon Dones and Ash Nowak are the DJays and masterminds behind Detroit's most coveted underground nightlife staple, that has become the social center of gravity for Detroit’s thriving creative and music scene. Starting at 10pm, the two will spin a mix of classic and contemporary underground disco, house, diva, post-punk, balearic and left field.

Miami's favorite neighborhood bar is turning it up for Miami Art Week. Join us at The Anderson for a legendary DJ set by The Roots drummer and frontman, Questlove on Saturday, December 8 at 10pm. RSVP for free admission here.


EAST, Miami

EAST, Miami is partnering with Uber as part of their #ArtMovesU campaign highlighting some of Miami’s popular Uber pick-up locations. A 9 ft tall statue of a man walking, will be featured at the hotel lobby all week long.

EAST is also partnering with Russian artist, Maxim Goshko-Dankov to create a 6ft x 10ft coloring wall of the EAST and Brickell landscape which will be hung outside of Domain. From December 5 through 9, pedestrians and hotel guests are invited to come on property to help color in the blank spaces on the canvas.


Malibu Farm Miami Beach

December 5-9

Malibu Farm Miami Beach - located at the Nobu Eden Roc Hotel - will be partnering with PULSE Art Fair to offer Malibu Farm diners complimentary daytime access to PULSE's fair throughout Art Basel. The fair will be open from Thursday, December 6 to Sunday, December 9 at Indian Beach Park 4601 Collins Ave. Malibu Farm diners can take advantage of the comped admission throughout Art Basel.

Malibu Farm guests can also enjoy some great art pieces installed in the restaurant courtesy of Art Angels Gallery, which was established in 2013 as a first location in the West Hollywood Design District, will open their second location in Miami on December 6th, 2018. Founded and run by Kat Emery and Jacquelin Napal, the gallery is known for their high-end contemporary art collection and innovative approach to collectors across the board. The gallery has become a go-to for the ‘chic and elite,’ with a core team of art specialists dedicated to providing collectors, designers, developers and corporations with the tools needed to offer innovative and creative art from around the world.

In collaboration with the famed Eden Roc Miami Beach, Art Angels will curate the lobby of its newest renowned hotel addition, Nobu Hotel Miami Beach as well as signature farm-to-table restaurant Malibu Farm Miami Beach. The standout pieces include pieces by renowned artist David Drebin “Capri,” one neon piece by Chris Bracey “Sail Away With Me Honey,” and Mike Rosenthal’s “Light 1” and “Light 3.”


The Local House

December 5-9

Situated in South of Fifth neighborhood of Miami Beach, The Local House will be partnering with Andreina Ron Pedrique to create a live 3D mural. The interior of the restaurant is upscale and chic, while still retaining the charm of feeling that you're comfortably at home. Inspired by the sea, the mural will be located in the lobby area, visible to those guests sitting in the dining room. The mural intertwines artistry and tranquility for guests enjoying brunch and dinner.

Additionally, the rooftop will be open for the public from Friday, December 7 to Sunday, December 9 from 11AM to 3PM with a special cocktail menu for Art Basel week.

The Miami Beach EDITION

The Miami Beach EDITION is the perfect place to spend Miami Art Week. From the lobby bar to the nightclub, EDITION will have music, book signings, panel discussions and more. Basement Miami will celebrate its Four Year Anniversary on Tuesday, December 4th with Danny Krivit and Richard Vasquez. Spa guests trying to relax post Basel can enjoy sound healing in the Relaxation Lounge with a purchase of any service that day. A very special Feminist Panel Discussion will also be taking place the EDITION with British artist, photographer, and producer Zoe Buckman and will feature artist Sarah Babah.

Sound healing induces wonderful states of deep relaxation and can have a profound and direct effect on the human nervous system. Accompanied by crystal bowls, tuning forks, chimes and other musical treats, a “sound bath” helps harmonize our cells and organs, and aids in releasing unwanted blocks of energy.

The Art of Banksy

Opening Saturday, December 1

“The Art of Banksy” showcases the works of international political activist and modern art’s best-kept-secret, Banksy. Banksy’s work encompasses a theme of anti-establishment created with a graffiti-influenced stencil technique found on bridges, city walls and streets around the world.

This exhibition features the world’s largest collection of Banksy pieces, consisting of 80 original works curated by former agent and friend, Steve Lazarides. The collection has been making waves across the world touring most recently in Toronto, Amsterdam and Tel Aviv.

The Miami exhibit will be mounted in Magic City Studios at 6301 NE 4th Ave, in an area within Little Haiti known as Miami’s Magic City Innovation District. This prestigious exhibition of originals – all privately owned by collectors – offers a rare opportunity for South Florida to enter Banksy’s world.


Fine Frenchie

Fine Frenchie will be participating in the Aqua Art Miami fair this December 5th-9th with a VIP opening on December 5th 3-10pm. Fine Frenchie is where a fine taste for fine things meets a tiny bit of humor and a touch of real life. There will be 20 Fine Frenchie prints for sale at Aqua Art Miami exclusively with Blackship Gallery, which can’t be bought anywhere else. Each illustration printed on German Etching paper using archival ink, each print comes signed, sealed, numbered and with certificate of authenticity. Only 15 copies of each illustration are made.
