Altamare restaurant Review

altamare restaurant

Our welcoming by Claudio Giordano, the owner, was outstanding...he was warm, friendly and professional. While Altamare is known more as a local hide-away, I find it perfect for a relaxing evening out as well as for a delectable celebratory dinner, too! We were delighted to spend quality time in Claudio’s company throughout our dinner. Service was gracefully provided along with excellent suggestions by our server, Daniel.

After a short but thorough introduction to their Mediterranean but mostly Italian influenced menu, we sampled half a dozen oysters from different regions which were chilled and firm (just the way I like them), the Wahoo Crudo (a Miami spice special) which was delectably refreshing with bottarga and fresh olive oil, and the Hamachi Jalapeno Crudo, with its simple citrus soy preparation that left us wanting more.

Our entrees were fabulously selected, and were culminated by the Wild Mushroom Ravioli with truffle cream. Our dinner was fabulously paired with a refreshing white wine. Dinner was so fantastic that we skipped dessert! I highly recommend it, and have been craving going back since I was their last week. To those of you who haven’t been yet, it’s a must try!
