Ya Mas! Introduces Aura Brunch & Opa! Hour
High-Energy Saturday Brunch and Weeknight Happy Hour
In February 2022, Memphis Garrett, founder and President of Garrett Hospitality Group (GHG), opened Ya Mas! in Fort Lauderdale, bringing a chic and bustling taverna experience to the east end of Las Olas Boulevard. Since opening, the restaurant has already garnered raves and accolades and is quickly becoming the destination for fresh Mediterranean fare, killer cocktails and a bustling vibe. Now Garrett is pleased to announce the launch of Aura Brunch and Opa! Hour.
Available each Saturday from Noon – 3PM, Aura Brunch at Ya Mas! is a high-energy party replete with boozy offerings and Mediterranean brunch items sure to tantalize revelers and foodies alike. Executive Chef Austin Blake has created a menu showcasing classic dishes and modern interpretations from Greece, Turkey, Israel and more. Brunchy dishes include Short Rib Hash with Greek potatoes, fried egg, zhoug chimichurri and blistered peppers; crispy Prosciutto Benedict served with an Aleppo hollandaise; French Toast with orange crème anglaise, Greek honey, berries and Marcona almond; Falafel Chicken & Waffle – crispy chicken thighs sandwiched between vanilla waffles and drizzled with harissa honey; Breakfast Gyro with loukaniko, scrambled eggs and pepperoncini, served with sliced tomato, feta and herbs; and more. Of course, Ya Mas! signature dips and small plates are also on offer, including Whipped Feta and Labneh; Saganaki, and Turkish Muhammara – a sweet and earthy dip made with pomegranate molasses, red bell peppers, and walnuts.
Cocktails at Aura Brunch are equally enticing and guests can enjoy creative libations, inspired by summers on the Med. Boozy concoctions include Lavish Indulgence – Tito’s, lavender/blueberry syrup, lemon and soda; Clear-Eyed Maria – Los Magos Sotol, tomato water, cucumber-celery juice and lime; Fig Old Fashioned – fig-infused bourbon, Demerara syrup, Angostura and orange biters; “Greek Salad” Martini; and Santorini Sour – a refreshing rum and basil concoction served in a coupe glass with a frothy foam head. Ya Mas! also features an array of Spritzes such as the Sevilla Sunset – Tanqueray Sevilla Orange, Ramazzotti Amaro and Pellegrino Blood Orange and the St. Tropez – Ketel One Grapefruit Rose, Pamplemousse Grapefruit Cordial and Sparkling Wine. Red, white, sparkling, and rosé Sangrias will also be on offer, along with beers and wines inspired by the region. Both Sangrias and Spritzes are also available in large formats, perfect for sharing.
In addition to Saturday brunch, the restaurant recently introduced Opa! Hour. Available at the bar only, every Tuesday – Friday from 5PM – 7PM, guests can indulge in an array of discounted libations and bites. Spirited Spritzes, priced at only $10, include the Sevilla Sunset, Droseros, St. Tropez, and the classic Aperol Spritz. House wines and House spirits are available for only $8 and specialty beers are on offer for $5. Dips, including classic hummus, zhoug hummus, and tzatziki are $5 each; $5 crispy garbanzos; and $9 chicken souvlaki, fried calamari, steamed mussels, Greek Salad and dolmades.
