Walking into Wynwood Brewing, you get a full experience of what the neighborhood has been offering for the past few years. Like the walls scattered throughout the area, the interior of Wynwood Brewing is decorated with murals capturing the essence of Miami in a bohemian and eclectic way. The tables inside offer a communal setting which allows locals to interact while they sip on some of the best brews that Miami has to offer. The beers you are served here can be considered a piece of art just like the paintings on the walls. Tap handles in the shape of spray paint cans capture perfectly what the city is becoming, and they are a metaphor for how Wynwood is being transformed from rags to riches through the talent that locals possess. The growth of Wynwood is a process, and this brewery is a perfect personification of great things to come.

Wynwood Brewing offers a rotating selection of brews, but it always has three styles available.

Pop’s Porter- Made with roasted malts, the tastes of this beer match the aroma of chocolate and coffee. The initial taste is almost toffee-like and ends with a smooth finish.

La Rubia- A blond ale that is relatively light and a nice change from other offerings. Although it is low in alcohol, it produces flavor that is not lacking. It is somewhat bitter with an aroma and taste reminiscent of malty bread.

Wynwood IPA- This beer is made with citrusy hops that are then balanced by a caramel-like sweetness at the end. For being over 7% alcohol, it does not taste as alcohol-centric as it is (which is a nice surprise).

The service I have encountered at Wynwood Brewing has always been stellar with employees eager to show you what they have to offer and to explain to you why the beers taste the way they taste. They make you feel at home and offer knowledge that is inviting even the most amateur beer enthusiast. The crowd that frequents this place is friendly as well and willing to guide you through the beer menu. Tours are offered on weekends, which include beer tasting and a complementary glass. Through this tour, you will experience the history of the brewery and their philosophy and mindset when it comes to how they run the business. Overall, this is a worthy addition to the area and one that will have much to offer in the future.
