Little Havana Tours

Miami is known for its sunshine, but is also home to many rainy days especially during the months of June through November as hurricane season looms over, making it tough to enjoy our gorgeous beaches. Rainy days may call for a quiet day at home, but those who grow restless easily know a back-up plan is always necessary. Luckily, there are plenty of fun things to do in the magic city when it rains.

Visit the Frost Science Museum

The museum is spread across four acres right in front of Biscayne Bay with sweeping views of the city, that are stunning even on a rainy day. Inside you’ll find six exhibits that include the ecosystem of the Everglades, the evolution of flight, human biology and more, There’s also covered rooftops featuring a lunar terrace with a telescope for stargazing and a solar terrace with an urban farm, as well as rotating exhibits on the first floor. Frost Science Museum is one of a handful of museums across the country that is home to both an aquarium and a planetarium. No visit to the museum is complete without checking out one of the incredible laser light shows.

Eat a cozy meal

Sometimes all you want to do on a rainy day is put yourself into a food coma and then take a long nap. Miami is home to plenty of comfort food spots to do just that. Consider a trip to a food hall like, Politan Row or 1-800Lucky, where you can grab a little bit of everything or head to a cozy local spot like Seven Dials in Coral Gables, Stanzione 87 in Brickell, or Macchialina on South Beach.
