Miami Dade College’s (MDC) acclaimed rooftop restaurant, Tuyo, will once again participate in Miami Spice, August 1 – Sept. 30, the annual mouth-watering promotion that offers three-course meals at some of Miami’s top restaurants at a fixed price. A new music-inspired menu will be unveiled every two weeks (four in total) during the promotion, beginning with Miami Spice: Classical Music August 1 – 15.
Created by Tuyo Executive Chef Victor Santos, the classical music-inspired menu will feature Mussels a la Normande; Mediterranean Sea Bass with a rich tomato /caper/olive sauce; Pan-Roasted Moulard Duck Breast; Ratatouille-Stuffed Raviolis; and Lobster Thermidor, among other exquisite selections. Dessert options include Cara Cara Crème Brulée, Malbec-poached apples, caramelCremeux, and Florida strawberries; Opera Gâteau or a trio of French cheeses.
Located on the top floor of the Miami Culinary Institute at MDC, the restaurant offers one of South Florida’s most elegant dining experiences, first-class service, and an unparalleled panoramic view of the downtown skyline and Biscayne Bay. The Miami Herald calls Tuyo “a smart addition to the Miami dining scene,” while Miami Magazine characterizes the restaurant as “a sexy, modern, Manhattan-meets-Miami space that is metropolitan and cozy.” Open Table diners regularly rate Tuyo as one of the city’s best eateries for ambiance, scenic views, romantic appeal, service, cuisine and overall experience. Tuyo also features an extensive list of wines from around the globe.
The Miami Spice promotion is $39 per person (not including beverage, tax or gratuity), and is available from 6-10 p.m. Tuesdays -Thursday; 6-10:30 p.m. Friday & Saturday from August 1 through September 30. Wine Pairing is $19 for two glasses. Signature cocktails are $12.
