The Dutch, inside the W South Beach, is inviting guests to celebrate the holidays in style with Christmas and New Year’s dinners. On Christmas Eve, the $50 per person (excluding tax and gratuity) dinner will include a traditional Caja China Pig Roast, along with other savory Latin dishes prepared by Executive Chef Adonay Tafur. Guests can spend the evening in the Grove, the Dutch’s lush outdoor playground, enjoying board games, sipping Coquitos ($8); all while enjoying live music by DJ Bre. The celebration continues on New Year’s Eve, when guests are invited back for a five course prix-fixe dinner, with a vegetarian menu available upon request. The first seating from 6:30PM to 8PM for $185 per person, includes half a bottle of Veuve Clicquot per person; the second seating is from 8PM to 10:30PM for $300 per person, and includes half a bottle of Dom Perignon per person. Diners can start with snacks that include Sturgeon Caviar with Meyer lemon, crème fraiche and gaufrette and a Butternut Squash Tart with Sichuan blossom, butternut mousse and amaranth. Appetizer choices include Foie Gras and Duck Terrine with Granny Smith apple, mostarda and black truffle jus or Florida Stone Crab Claws with dijon aioli and fresh lemon. For the mid-course, a Robiola Tortellini with Alba white truffle will be served. Main course choices include John Dory with lobster curry, Spot prawns and coriander flowers or Manhattan Steak with red wine short rib, Yukon potato and Hen of the Wood. For dessert, choose from Strawberry Vacherin with toasted almond meringue, basil ice cream and aged balsamic or Manjari Chocolate Crema with espresso caramel, roasted Seckel pear and spiced vanilla ice cream. The menu is also available without champagne options.
