Miami, Florida, July 18 2012– Miami Culinary Tours, operator of the popular South Beach Food Tour and Little Havana Food Tour, announces the addition of liquid nitrogen prepared ice cream at the Miami Beach Café & Restaurant for both its lunch and dinner tours.
“We are always adding and improving our food samplings by keeping a thumb on the pulse of new and exciting restaurants with renowned chefs,” shares Grace Della, founder of Miami Culinary Tours.
Miami Beach Café & Restaurant is the newest restaurant to open on Ocean Drive. Their signature dessert is the homemade ice cream made with liquid nitrogen and prepared by Michelin Star trained chef Luděk Munzar from Prague. As one of the pioneers in establishing the Modern Gastronomy School in Prague, Czech Republic, Munzar’s specialty is molecular gastronomy, sous vide, and the fine preparation of meat and fish. He also adheres to a firm belief in using only fresh ingredients. For the strawberry ice cream Munzar uses fresh strawberries and cream and then hand whips the blend while the liquid nitrogen is carefully poured in the vat. Frozen smoke accumulates at a furious pace. The preparation is pure entertainment.
With Miami weather known for its heat and humidity in the summertime, the strawberry frozen homemade ice cream is expected to be a welcoming and refreshing addition to the South Beach food tour stops. “Even the store interior and décor is cool and inviting,” continues Della. “The Miami chic all white decor is so striking, that customers are instantly impressed before they even try the ice cream. It’s all about elevating the experience and exceeding expectations.”
The tour runs approximately two and a half hours and is priced at $59 per person inclusive of all taxes. South Beach Food Tour totals eight stops that include food tastings ranging from gazpacho to ceviche to a Jewish pastry rugulach. Customers will also enjoy an amuse bouche as a prelude to the ice cream at Miami Beach Café & Restaurant .
