If you want to do a food tour of South of Fifth or what locals call SoFi, be prepared to be amazed by the cuisine you find on this section of Miami Beach. It is a short walk from the most visited part of the beach which is at around 10th and Ocean Drive, you keep walking south and when you arrive to 5th you know that when you will be crossing that street you will be on south of fifth. A walking food tour of SoFi can be done in just a few hours. One place I would recommend that you visit is My Ceviche. This hole in the wall is not to be missed for ceviche lovers as it doesn’t get any better than this. Go up to the counter (they do not have tables), and order a classic ceviche. A very generous portion comes with your $14 ceviche and just sit outside or keep walking on Washington Avenue until you hit Joe’s Stone Crab for a seafood extravaganza experience.

As you walk the street on SoFi, do not miss the unique Art Deco architecture of the area. This is a great section of the city for those who appreciate this very unique type of architecture.

One restaurant not to be missed is De Rodriguez Cuba for elevated Cuban cuisine at the Hilton Bentley hotel. As you walk into this place, take the chance to try the best mojito in Miami Beach at the bar section right next to the entrance. Their watermelon tuna ceviche is fresh and savory every time so you won’t go wrong wrong with that.

For a great steak house experience, check out Smith & Wollensky. This restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Miami Beach. The views are wonderful and the service is impeccable. Smith & Wollensky is a great choice but be ready to splurge a little.

To do a Sofi Food Walking Tour in Miami Beach will take you up to 4 hours to explore every corner but it is highly recommended. Right on fifth and Washington is Fratelli La Bufala for the best pizza in town. The make it just the way the owners made it Italy. The mozzarella is seriously addictive and they make the pies right in front of you on their amazing oven that takes 1/4 of the space.
