WHAT:
On Thursday June 9th , fashion and art meet at Seaspice to celebrate the soft launch of Fantastic Oceans, a non-profit organization working to protect the oceans from plastic toxic pollution through consumer awareness and education.
The evening will include a fashion showcase by Saks Fifth Avenue Bal Harbour, live art performances by Ron Bass and Perego, and an exhibition of exclusive art pieces for sale by Cynthia Fleischmann, Lois Ercolessi and Richard Hegarty that will take place aboard a 80 foot Azimut Yacht docked at Seaspice. Two Ron Bass’s Jackets, designed for, and previously owned by Beyonce and P.Diddy will be part of the silent auction.
The master of ceremony will be Michael Gongora, former vice mayor of the City of Miami Beach. The attendees will also be addressed by Dr. Paul Pereira, Fantastic Oceans Founder Chief Visionary Officer, Daniella Cava, Miami Dade District Eight Commissioner, Iva Kosovic, Development Director for the New World Symphony, Kurt Lieber, Ocean Defenders Alliance Founder, and Peter Oxford, world renowned freelance photographer for National Geographic.
Award winning journalist, Jennifer Valoppi, and her organization, Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program, will be present sponsoring the event.
Often credited as leading force in the revitalization of the Miami River neighborhood, Seaspice is the perfect location to host the evening. The exclusive attendees will get to experience the restaurant’s exquisite array of offerings. A portion of the proceeds of the dinner will be donated to Fantastic Oceans.
