Miami Spice at Toro Toro

Connect your body to your soul with a special edition of Full Moon Yoga – Harvest Full Moon Extravaganza – led by Papa Guru Nicolay Del Salto on Friday, September 9. Join us on the hotel’s iconic SkyLawn at 7PM to align your chakras with a meaningful and unforgettable evening with tunes by Dj Sage Master Kevin + Sound healing by Sofia Bustillos + AV MixByTrip Revive the Soul. Dogs and their owners ready to mingle, need look no further than the InterContinental’s Bayside Terrace, which becomes Paws Patio every Wednesday evening from 5PM to 7PM. The open-air event is free and open to the public. Water bowls are on hand for all canines, while adults can enjoy Dirty Dog Martinis, Mutt Mules and other libations from the cash bar. Salsa Night Hosted by Salsa Lovers
Dance to express and dress to impress as InterContinental Miami hosts the hottest Salsa Night in downtown Miami in collaboration with Salsa Lovers. On Friday, September 2 from 9PM to 2AM. Guests will be transported monthly to a night in Havana via the hotel’s Chopin Ballroom for an evening of dancing, entertainment, and libations. From novice to experienced dancers – and even those who just want to enjoy the music – the free to attend for ladies ($10 cover for men at the door) evening will also feature DJ Jorge Charun spinning Salsa classics, performances and master dance instruction by Salsa Lovers. Latin Social at Toro Toro
Gather around InterContinental Miami’s Spindle, the perfect destination to meet and mingle, and immerse in an evening of Latin Sounds from a live DJ and Pan-Latin Tapas from Toro Toro every Thursday from 5PM to 9PM. Starting on Thursday, September 8, and every Thursday after that, guests can enjoy libations from the roaming Mojito Cocktail Cart, signature cocktails, and other libations from the cash bar.
Fuego Nights at Toro Toro
Light up the night at Toro Toro with the ultimate dining experience. Fuego Nights continues on September 2, and every Friday after that, fire dancers will be bringing the heat throughout Toro Toro with performances every 30 minutes. Noche de Arte- Art Residency featuring Alejandro Perez
Taking place on Monday, September 12 and every Monday thereafter from 5PM to 7PM, Noche de Arte, a weekly Art Residency featuring local artists creating works live, with an emphasis on Hispanic Heritage this month. With the support of local Miami arts organization Font Squared, the Intercontinental Miami is featuring live artist interaction with Cuban-born Alejandro Perez. Alejandro is known for using texture as an element of time and history in each piece and the power of visual codes, whether from advertising, popular culture or art history. The event is free and open to the public.
Muestra Herencia Fashion Show
Strut on down to InterContinental Miami for an exclusive open to the public fashion show, Muestra Herencia Fashion Show. On Thursday, September 29 at 6PM in the hotel’s Bayfront Ballroom, International fashion designers will present gala dresses and swimwear designs to a panel of judges and the winner will be awarded with the Golden Thread Award (Premios Hilo Dorado).
Step into the Prohibition Era at Freddy’s Speakeasy
InterContinental Miami introduces Freddys Speakeasy, a secret hideaway accessible only by prior arrangement. On every Thursday, Friday and Saturday guests can have an exclusive experience showcasing the secret cocktail club’s intimate atmosphere, historic ambiance and meticulously crafted libations. Upon reserving, guests will be provided with instructions on how to access Freddys and will be escorted to the hidden location, where a secret knock will ensure admission. Named for famed 19th century Polish composer and virtuoso pianist Frédéric François Chopin, – whose name adorns both the street the hotel is located on and one of its ballrooms.
Once within, guests are welcomed with a taste of Four Ballads, made with Casa Noble infused with cilantro, Cointreau, fresh lime and simple syrup. Signature cocktails, beginning at $18, include the Green Light made with rich, sweet and smoky decadent blend of Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Green Chartreuse, chocolate bitters, fresh lemon juice and simple syrup; Not Your Mama’s Mamajuana, a unique take on the island of Hispaniola’s fabled drink featuring 1888 Brugal Dominican Rum infused with InterContinental Miami’s herb blend; Envied Elegance featuring Tito’s Vodka, Domaine de Canton, lime, cucumber essence and peach bitters and topped with Peychaud’s bitters; Virtue & Vice, a smooth and pleasantly spice blend of Woodford Rye, lemon juice, Aperol and simple syrup; and Tipsy Whisper featuring Casa Noble, Cointreau, lime juice and lavender reduction.
