EVENT

One of the Palm Beach Food & Wine Festival ’s newest addition to the festival roster, PHOTO-OP Street Food, is a head-to-head competition that pits five Miami chefs against five Palm Beach chefs for the best of fair food in five categories: fried chicken, meatballs, hot dogs, tacos and “on a stick.” The Miami team, led by Four Seasons Hotel Miami Executive Chef Aaron Brooks, consists of Timon Balloo, Jamie DeRosa, Giorgio Rapicavoli and Daniel Serfer. Four Seasons Palm Beach Executive Chef Darryl Moiles will lead the Palm Beach team consisting of Lindsay Autry, Clay Conley, Dean Max and Tim Lipman. Three prizes will be awarded: People’s Choice, Bloggers’ Choice and Best Bite, chosen by fellow chefs Marc Murphy, Robert Irvine and Jeff Mauro. The Street Food event will be hosted by Marc Summers.
On Tuesday, November 4, the 10 Miami and Palm Beach chefs featured in the festival event will gather in advance at EDGE Steak & Bar to determine who will be competing in each of the five street food categories. There will be a random drawing for and by discussion of, the festival’s first-ever street food competition, hosted by Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach.
