Novecento opened its first location in SoHo, NYC in 1991 as a gelateria that later evolved to a café serving excellent coffee, pastries, sandwiches and light fares; later on it changed to a bistro style restaurant.

At that time, Soho was not even half of what it is today, nowadays it is one of the most important areas in New York due to the combination of the best and most varied gastronomic proposals, the most exclusive stores and art galleries.

Novecento accompanied this growth placing itself at an avant garde position with the simplicity of classic and familiar products.

In 1994 the concept evolved into a restaurant bistro, with the expansion of its menu, inclusion of a wide selection of international boutique wines, together with the addition of a full liquor license, while maintaining the charm and warmth of its origins.
