MEAT MARKET INTRODUCES NEW COCKTAIL PROGRAM
Classics with a Twist; House Creations and New Aperitifs
South Beach’s chic steakhouse, Meat Market, has served as a refuge for foodies, celebs, trendsetters and professionals for six years due to Executive Chef/Co-owner Sean Brasel’s exceptional modern steakhouse cuisine; innovative cocktails, stunning decor, and reputation as a see and be seen dining hotspot. Now, just in time for summer, the famed restaurant’s expert mixologist Ezra Pattek has introduced an exciting lineup of delicious new libations.
“We have added more of the quintessential classics – the Negroni, the Manhattan and the Old Fashioned, as well as some unique versions of these cocktails with our own Miami flair,” says Pattek. “We are also using many more small production spirits including Spring44, American Craft Spirits from Colorado and Pierde Almas Mezcal, a single village mezcal producer.”
Imbibers can sip on new cocktails ($14-$16) including the Smoky Negroni with Pierde Almas mezcal, aperol and Dolin sweet vermouth and Blanco Negroni, featuring Old Tom gin, Suze bitters and Cocchi Americano. An array of Old Fashioneds are also now available including the Maple Old Fashioned – Spring 44 bourbon, maple syrup and Bitterman’s spiced cranberry bitters; Anejo Old Fashioned – Tres Generaciones anejo, Oloroso sherry, agave nectar and Bitterman’s Xocolatl mole bitters; and the Spicy Rum Old Fashioned with Zachapa rum, Ancho Reyes chile liqueur and a chicory coffee tincture. New twists on the Manhattan include the Rested Manhattan – Tapatio reposado, Amaro, honey and Orinico bitters and the Downtown Manhattan with George Dickel, Cynar, Crème de Cacao and aromatic bitters.
Lighter concoctions include the refreshing aperitif, Summertime Passion, made with B&B liqueur, passionfruit, mint, Prosecco and nutmeg; and new house creations such as the Highland Sandia – Avion Silver, watermelon, lime, Cocchi Americano and vermouth; and Fresca Pepino, a delightful blend of Beluga vodka, cucumber puree, lemon, ginger and mint.
Guests can enjoy the new cocktail creations at lunch and dinner daily, as well as Meat Market’s bustling, Friday Happy Hour. Taking place every Friday from 5 to 8 p.m., the bar features $7 signature premium cocktails and select wines by the glass; half priced beer and well drinks; $9 ceviche and complimentary passed light bites.
