Matador Room’s al fresco dining option, Matador Terrace, will launch its first Sunday brunch on May 10th at the Miami Beach EDITION in celebration of Mother’s Day. The highly appraised restaurant by Michelin Star Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, which has become a preferred dining destination for locals and hotel guests alike, will showcase its unique take on brunch, with Executive Chef Jeremy Ford at the helm of the kitchen.
Upon entry to the expansive Matador Terrace, guests are led to a lush verdant oasis with custom trellis and climbing bougainvillea. The stunning terrace provides an ideal setting for a Sunday outing, with beachfront views overlooking the glistening blue ocean and beautifully landscaped pool areas custom created by Madison Cox. At Matador, Chef Jean-Georges offers a distinct, modern interpretation of Latin cuisine influenced by Spanish, Caribbean and South American flavors that are integral to Miami. For Sunday brunch, Executive Chef Jeremy Ford will dish out a variety of options featuring locally sourced and sustainable ingredients.
The seasonal menu will offer savory brunch items such as Huevos Rancheros and Poached Eggs with Roasted Mushrooms, using local organic farm eggs, as well as sweet variations like Coconut Pancakes with Grapefruit and Lavender Maple Syrup, and Crunchy Mexican-Spiced French Toast with Apples. Guests can also expect a carefully curated selection of smoked meats and fish, pastries baked in-house, and Matador’s signature tacos. Brunch libations include the ‘Bloody Matador’ featuring Elyx vodka, basil, and tomato juice, Bellinis with Perrier Jouet Grand Brut and fresh peach juice, Mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice, and a selection of rosé wines.
For those craving Matador’s wildly popular lunch and dinner menu items, a few favorites will be available for Sunday brunch, including: Spicy Tuna Tartare with Black Olive, Cucumber and Avocado, Black Truffle and Fontina Cheese Pizza, Grilled Salmon Salad with Radishes, Toasted Sesame and Carrot Ginger Dressing, and Crispy BBQ Pork Tacos with Red Onion Pickles and Cilantro.
