The first thing I thought when I walked into the Lunch Box in Wynwood was “finally a place like this in Wynwood where people can be on their MACs, get a quick healthy lunch and sitting is comfortable.
Their menu is diverse for being a lunch place and the ambiance is airy, bright and – there is a great ambiance. Okay this is not a place for dinner hence their name so don’t expect waiters and ( thank god ) no overly priced food. How refreshing in Miami …
I saw arepas on their menu which gave me the clue that someone here at the Lunch box is either Venezuelan or Colombian and they have a good selection of salads. I don’t like arepas much but it is nice to see them on the menu, they give this place a certain identity.
I went with the kale salad with shrimp.
This salad is the what you expect from a healthy lunch. The kale was fresh, the shrimp were big and the croutons were crispy – this is a perfect salad.
I like this place, it has a friendly casual atmosphere, the service was quick, the quality of the ingredients were what you expect. The Lunch Box brings to Wynwood a new layer of quality. Their “Neo-Traditional Cuisine. Traditional Recipes Influenced By Modern Thinking” slogan fits them well.
