Hispanic Heritage Month has arrived and it’s the time to celebrate culture, history, and Hispanic influences in our community! All surrounded by soft burgundy and yellow ceilings and walls, painted with natural flower pigments from Oaxaca and extraordinary paintings by Dionosio Ceballos, whose reproductions were showcased in the film Frida.

Chef and Restaurateur Oscar del Rivero of Jaguar
A native of Mexico, Oscar del Rivero is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and has over 25 years of experience in the culinary industry. His experience includes past restaurant ventures in Mexico, Austria, and Spain, as well as extensive training with esteemed local restaurants such as Blue Door at the Delano, The Palm Hotel, and Talula.
Chef and Restaurateur Oscar del Rivero launched Jaguar Restaurant over 16 years ago in Coconut Grove, becoming a staple in the neighborhood. Jaguar Restaurant embodies recipes created by Oscar inspired by his roots and travels. The restaurant’s Latin cuisine has made it a fan favorite for almost two decades and many more to come. The restaurant and Del Rivero have been named Yelp and TripAdvisor people’s choice for various years.
Del Rivero has traveled extensively through Central and South America and Mexico and attributes his culinary expertise to his passion for the cuisine of these areas. Chef del Rivero believes in using simple ingredients to create bountiful flavors while respecting the traditions of the dishes’ origins.
