J. Wakefield Brewing may be South Florida’s recognized brewery that isn’t even open yet. Let us explain, this brewery has created beers with some of the most renowned companies in the nation through collaborations such as the one they did with California’s Stone Brewing. On top of that, they are constantly invited to serve beer at massive events such as Cigar City’s Hunahpu Day. Through events such as these, they have gotten their name out to the public, which helped them raise funds through a kickstarter to finally begin construction of their proper location in the Wynwood Arts District. Construction if projected to be done by Fall 2014, a fact that has the South Florida beer scene buzzing with excitement. You can find this brewery’s beers in local craft beer bars, and you’d be making a mistake if you don’t sample their creations when given the chance. They are most known for the dragon fruit and passion fruit flavored Florida Weisse, creating a blend of flavors through the use of local fruits in an effort to educate drinkers about Florida’s unique harvest offerings.
