The excitement at InterContinental Miami is in full bloom this April as the iconic downtown Miami hotel debuts new activations and incentives for hotel guests and locals to enjoy throughout the month. Pamper your pup at the first annual Doggiezen Food Fest; experience a weekly Art Residency featuring local artists painting live, or relax and rejuvenate with special new treatments at mySpa in honor of Stress Awareness Month. At the award-winning Pan-Latin steakhouse Toro Toro, indulge in delicious cuisine and help save the bees by experiencing the Viva Abejas culinary campaign; treat yourself to a Blue La Bomba in support of Autism Awareness Month and celebrate Easter Sunday with decadent brunch offerings.

Doggiezen Food Fest
InterContinental Miami is giving dog parents a food festival of their very own – an activation with a foodie focus on canines. The inaugural Doggiezen Food Fest will pop-up on the property’s idyllic Bayside Terrace, which will be transformed into a pet marketplace. Pamper your pup with puppy playdates, swag and food samples and products for purchase from featured local treat makers and bakers. For the humans, specialty themed cocktails and bites from Toro Toro will be available for purchase during the festival. Noche de Arte- Art Residency Featuring Maria Patiño
Taking place on Monday, April 4, and every Monday thereafter from 5PM to 7PM, Noche de Art, a weekly Art Residency featuring local artists painting live and Happy Hour program continues. With the support of local Miami arts organization Font Squared, the Intercontinental Miami is featuring live artist interaction and the creation of live art onsite in the lobby of the hotel. Multimedia artist Maria Patiño, will display her artwork of mixed media and paper collages and create a new piece onsite guided by her memories and imagination, along with engaging with attendees. Maria will be in residence every Monday throughout the month of April, with works available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public; all guests will receive a complimentary glass of wine while she is working on a new piece onsite and interacting with attendees.
Chef Richard Sandoval’s Viva Abejas Culinary Campaign at Toro Toro
This spring, internationally renowned chef Richard Sandoval celebrates our connection to the earth with a global culinary campaign that highlights our interdependence on nature. Showcasing the importance of the world’s pollinators – bees – on which the global food cycle depends, Sandoval has created an interactive, multi-sensory plant based culinary experience, Viva Abejas – Long Live Bees. Guests will have the opportunity to try selections from a plant-based culinary menu at Toro Toro at the InterContinental Miami that incorporates edible flowers, bee pollen, honey, avocado and additional bee-centric ingredients. Richard Sandoval Hospitality has partnered with the Help Save the Bees Foundation and will be donating a portion of proceeds from all Viva Abejas menu items purchased. As part of the month-long campaign, Toro Toro will be featuring an exclusive, a la carte menu that includes Bee Pollen Rainbow Quinoa, Chilean Seabass, Farro & Coconut Risotto; and Avocado Panna Cotta. ICM Goes Blue for Autism Awareness
In recognition and celebration of Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month and #LEOSROAR, InterContinental Miami’s interior will gleam blue for the entire month of April in support of the Arts for Autism Foundation, a local organization that provides free Spectrum Dance Therapy to children with autism to encourage self-expression through dance and music. In honor of the symbolic blue that represents Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month, Toro Toro is featuring a specialty Blue La Bomba, a blue chocolate half sphere filled with cream cheese mousse, dulce de leche, strawberry ice cream, fresh berries, cookie crumbles and vanilla and berry sauce, during the entire month for $32. A portion of proceeds from the month’s sales will benefit the Arts for Autism Foundation.
Celebrate Easter at Toro Toro, chef/restaurateur Richard Sandoval’s Pan-Latin steakhouse, with an unlimited Pan-Latin Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 17 from noon to 3:30PM. The enhanced culinary experience, curated by Executive Chef Jean Delgado, features action stations for the whole family including a Salad Bar, Traditional Breakfast Station with favorites like omelets, waffles and assorted fruit; Cevicheria Bar, Rodizio de la Parilla Station featuring prime rib eye, flank steak, pork carnitas, Argentinian chorizo and more; Seafood Station offering fresh oysters, shrimp cocktail, sushi and crab cakes; and a Dessert Bar with sweets such as Bananas Foster and a variety of Pan-Latin cakes and specialties. Salsa Night
Put on your dancing shoes as InterContinental Miami hosts the hottest Salsa Night in downtown Miami in collaboration with Salsa Lovers. On the first Friday of each month, from 9PM to 2AM, the series will culminate in a much-anticipated Salsa Fest dance competition slated for September, 2022. Guests will be transported monthly to a night in Havana via the hotel’s Bayfront Ballroom for an evening of dancing, entertainment, cigar rolling and libations. From novice to experienced dancers – and even those who just want to enjoy the music – the free to attend evening will feature DJ Jorge Charun spinning Salsa classics, performances and master dance instruction by Salsa Lovers and drink specials starting at $10.
Liquid Lounge Weekends
Lounge poolside and take in the stunning Biscayne Bay views with Spritz Saturdays and Rosé Sundays, taking place every weekend from Noon to 4PM.
