WINE SPECIALS THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF APRIL

Guests dining at Gotham Steak at Fontainebleau Miami Beach are once again invited to take part in a special offer on two highly acclaimed wines: the 2009 Chalk Hill Estate Red priced at $120 per bottle, and the 2007 Arcanum offered at $160 per bottle. Held over from last month’s specials, and back by popular demand, these labels were handpicked by Sommeliers Fernando Araiza and Zach Gossard, under the guidance of Fontainebleau Miami Beach award-winning sommelier David Mokha, to perfectly complement the bold flavors at Gotham Steak.

Typically available at $195 per bottle, the 2009 Chalk Hill Estate Red is an incredibly rich and luscious Sonoma wine with notes of currant liqueur, blackberries, boysenberry syrup, chocolate, coffee, cinnamon and cardamom. Earning a 92-point rating from Wine Spectator, 2009 Chalk Hill Estate Red is a blend of cabernet sauvignon, malbec, merlot, petit verdot, syrah and carménère.

Seductive yet subtle, offering aromas of violets, roses, raspberries and delicate spice notes, the 2007 Arcanum, usually priced at $210 per bottle, is made by French winemaker Pierre Seillan, who will be representing Vérité Winery at this month’s Cellar 1954 dinner at Gotham Steak on Thursday, March 14. Hailing from Tuscany, the 2007 Arcanum is regarded as an excellent example of what Cabernet Franc-based blends can achieve in the Tuscan hills.

Gotham Steak is also proud to announce it will also be carrying bottles of the highly acclaimed and extremely rare 2005 Trifecta Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Offered at $220 a bottle, this wine is distinguished by the very long hang time on the vines, making it incredibly powerful. It has been described as a bold, balanced and elegant wine and is seldom found in restaurants.

Located in the Chateau lobby of the historic Fontainebleau Miami Beach, Gotham Steak offers a variety of menu options and includes specialty cuts of tender, wet and dry-aged prime beef, seafood, poultry and a broad selection of innovative soups, salads, appetizers and desserts. Architectural design highlights include a brilliant chandelier of hand-blown glass, an open exhibition style kitchen and a two-level, glass-enclosed wine tower offering more than 1,500 wines from around the world. The Lounge at Gotham Steak offers guests an additional dining option, complete with a unique menu of bar bites, burgers, raw bar and composed dishes, served in a chic setting complete with a house DJ. Dinner in both spaces is served daily beginning at 6 p.m.
